Christian Coaching Network

Rev. Dr. Gerald Martin, chair of the DCBC Coaching Network explains Christian Coaching and the benefits of coaching in a brief video that was shared during the Annual Gathering. The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thoughtprovoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership. As Christians, we trust the Holy Spirit to guide the coaching process so the person being coached may experience the fullness of life in Christ.

The DCBC Coaching Network offers coach training and a certificate, once training is completed, to interested clergy and congregants. The Coaching Network also provides training for our congregations, pastors, and church leaders for those interested in having a personal coach. At the October Annual Gathering, the following five people received a Level One Certificate:  Rev. Jevon Billups  Rev. Dr. Edwin Jones  Rev. Dr. Donald Kelly  Rev. Dr. Gerald Martin  Rev. Walter Sadler
