A Few Kind Words Today we host our final games of the season. It’s pretty cool that the draws have conspired to allow all three senior teams to play at home on the same day. I’m not sure if that’s ever happened before. Welcome to today’s visitors. With teams travelling from 2015 Melville United, Whakatane Town and Cambridge it shows Management just how widespread our Federation is, and how central Committee we are in it. As this is our final magazine of the season I should Patron be talking about winding down for the year, but it ain’t Jack Poole really gonna be that way for some of us, particularly over the next month or so. This coming Thursday, October 1, President sees the start of 5-a-side, a comp that always signals the Julie Clothier beginning of summer. We have a few spots still available Vice-President so let me know if you’ve forgotten to enter a team. Malcolm Raynel Following quickly after that, we’ll be hosting the WaiBOP Treasurer United Youth Team’s first match of the 2015 summer Dave Mann season. This is set for Sunday October 4 and as it’s Secretary against the 2014 champs, Nelson/Marlborough, it looks Debbie Sankey like being a pretty decent contest. Our Under-19s have games scheduled at the Domain Club Captain on October 10 and 17 as they prepare for the U-19 Club Ronan Costello Championships in Napier over Labour Weekend. This Committee is something of a focus for us now, particularly with the Pete Challis number of U-19 aged players who have been involved in Ana Paterson senior football this season. Junior Convenor Please also keep the evening of October 17 clear as Cathy O’Callaghan that’s when our Senior Prizegiving is scheduled. You can Club Development Mgr talk to you team manager for more information. Dwayne Barlow Last but not least, I’d like to say one final 2015 thank you to the club’s supporters and sponsors. We’ve had our ups and downs on the field this year, but the club is in good health off it, and that’s due in large part to the people who back the club on the sidelines and financially.
