DT hails from Raleigh NC and is one of the MOST versatile songwriters of the modern era in terms of potency and quality. David began writing his first verses at the age of thirteen but by the time he was fifteen he was writing top contention material and it's been that way since. David Thuggin was sparked initially by the likes of Camp Lo, Boot Camp Clik, Monie Love and Whodini. Unlike a vast majority of other artists that couldn't or were too prideful to adapt; David did. On the other side of David's spectrum he can also grab the neo-soul audience; therefore titling himself as prolific. Given a platform and promotion nothing could stop him but death! In the words of David Thuggin!

DT wants to record and release his music for the recognition, money and solidity. His fans are a true thug's fan. Fans that crave originality! His songs are about women, drugs, love, hate, unity, hardships and other relatable urban topics. David writes his songs as well as songs for others but writes only when it’s natural and never forces it.

David’s best writing takes place late night or when no one is around for pure concentration David Thuggin top ten influences are: 1-Bone thugs 2-Pac 3-Whodini 4-Monie love 5-Camp lo 6-Buckshot 7-Ol d b 8-Missy Elliott 9-Soul2Soul 10- Club Nouveau/Timex Social Club.

DT doesn’t describe his music. It’s a bit of everything! David allows the listener to describe it for him. His style is too versatile and interchangeable to be described simply. His image is that of a thug precursor. A manly thug yet compassionate and aware of social issues and respectful of those who paved the way. David a true artist studies and venerates all the greats. His immediate career goals are to gain the power he needs in order to put him on and then become the person in charge of finding talent.

DT wants to leave his mark in which he considers to be a voice for people similar to himself and truly believes that success is measured by one's own happiness and he'll never truly be happy without the recognition he deserves as a true artist and prefers an independent deal but a major one will suffice although it’s no secret that artist under major labels don't get much freedom.

Thuggin has live performances stemming back to the 1990s where as he once performed as a lyricist lounge entitled Expressions and precludes that he has been in many various performances but none industry. David believes he's a natural at performing because he's been doing it 15+ years and loves the chance to exhibit his spirit to a large crowd. DT has recorded hundreds of songs and has completed a few CDS; selling them as well as handing them out for free. David Thuggin has very very HOT songs and videos online that he records mostly through private sessions because he hates distractions while he's recording. Its business! David has a select few producers that he's willing to track bless for and is very OCD when it becomes to the instrumentation he chooses to lay my unorthodox style on. As far as the modern day way of selling music; he is just now getting hip to that. https://youtu.be/bOGSIviLd3c

Darrell Herbert - Poet, Songwriter, and Activist. A recipient of a national silver medal and gold key, presented by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards of 2014. Also he is a recipient of the 2016 Scythe Prize.

Darrell has been interviewed and promoted in various media sources such as Section 8 Magazine, Madness Muse Magazine, Beat Yard Magazine, and Not Only Street Magazine as well as in Hang Time Magazine and The Lemonade Stand Magazine.

Darrell would like to achieve bigger and better things in life and get recognized more for his poetry which he wants to be heard on a global scale. Darrell proclaims the most satisfied his been in his life is when his nationally recognized poem "Racism in America," was even inside of West Chester - East High School, in Pennsylvania, by a teacher named Richard Mitchell. The students went as far as interviewing Darrell through Skype and actually annotated his poem line for line. For Darrell to even have his poem taught at the age of eighteen was truly a remarkable feeling. One of Darrell's role model is Sylvia Plath. Sylvia Plath is his favorite poet ever because she made it cool to go into that darker place in terms of what you write about in poetry.

An accomplishment that would consider being the most significant in Darrell's career was actually winning a national silver medal and gold key, presented by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards of 2014. The majority of people Darrell personally knew did not believe in him. "So it made it that much better to prove them all wrong." In his own words! Darrell believes his spirit animal is a lion. He's strong when he need be, which all of the time is. A specific accomplishment that inspires Darrell would have to be songwriting. He wrote a song for a friend about police brutality and racism among other things. Darrell's friend performed the song during a talent show and actually won the whole shebang. It was a great moment for Darrell personally because nobody knew he wrote it, so it was cool to be the mastermind behind the scenes. Darrell has a will to be the best and the tenacity to keep pushing forward in life, despite any obstacle that comes his way. There was a time where Darrell wanted to do a song with a friend, who's a very talented, very beautiful girl. Unfortunately, they never got to record anything because she is deceased and no longer with us anymore. Not going to say how she left us, but it was an unexpected. Darrell's poetry fits in a very comfortable place. A lot of people have really looked up to him and his writing, and have personally thanked him for inspiring their achievements as a writer. If I Darrell had to convince a friend or colleague to read his poetry he would tell them to be prepared. As vague as his poems appear to be they do clearly and powerfully evoke a particular mood—a mood of unease and discomfort, desire and alienation. It is representing the hopes, fears, and angst—especially the angst—of people living through uncertain times. Darrell Herbert feels as if his poetry brings a new realm towards confessional subject matter. His poetry is much thought provoking to say the least. It is filled with a lot of emotional aspects, brutal honesty amazing wordplay.

As for Darrell the last literary reading he attended was on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. He actually had the chance to meet with organizer, spoken word performer, writer, public speaker, workshop facilitator, emcee and poet, Dasan Ahanu and thought it was one of his most wonderful experiences. Darrell has read a lot of Dasan's works so it was really exciting to see it up close and in person. Many people consider Darrell's writing too dark or too aggressive but honestly don’t allow those opinions regarding his writing style from writing out his stories. Darrell realized that he was a writer when he earned my first publication for poetry at the age of eighteen. At the age of eighteen he earned a national silver medal and gold key presented by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards of 2014. A year later at the age of nineteen his nationally recognized poem "Racism in America" was taught inside of West Chester East High School by a local teacher named Richard Mitchell. The students also annotated his poem. Darrell Herbert sees him helping more people in need and sees more people, like himself, to go out there and help those who are on hard times. Darrell went to High School for Health Professors & Human Services and was born in Washington State but never grew up with a mentor so poetry came naturally starting to write poetry at the age of five in order to escape the realities of life while growing up. Darrell got involved with poetry after writing on my walls with black marker. It was all out of rage. Darrell keeps writing sentences and uusually listens to music to get inspired. His writing process is mostly done on his phone in complete solitude. Darrell handles a bad review of his work by seeing it as fuel for inspiration to prove those same people wrong. Not everyone is going to love Darrell's work and that is expected and is fine because he believes that everyone has their own taste for poetry and writing styles. Darrell never allows a negative comment or harsh critique of his poetry to stop him from making more poems for his generation. The biggest mistake Darrell believes he has made as a writer was during the year of 2014 when he was on a complete hiatus in terms of performances and actually writing poems. The worst advice he heard authors give writers is to "stop writing dark poetry and write about something more happy." Darrell believes that artists are mostly ignored, in rare instances canonized, but almost never understood he has heard some claim that dark poetry is bad, or it will make people adore or worship death, suicide and things of that nature. Others have claimed it is sick to write about dark things, that people should only write about nice things. However, not everything in this life is so colorful and happy so he thinks that the purpose of any art is to make people think about things and to look at those things from a different point of view and see beyond the narrow scope of things.

Currently Darrell is working on getting more poetry publications, writing poems entitled "Neck Quick Dumb," and "The Bathroom." Truthfully, in which he hopes to see get published; first "The Bathroom" because it holds more weight. The celebrities that are the most influential to Darrell are J. Cole, Eminem, Kurt Cobain, Rage Against The Machine, Drake, Lady Gaga, among many others. Darrell Herbert usually just listens to indie music, go for a walk, or just read. One of Darrell's most favorite indie bands to listen to is" Our Last Dinosaurs." Darrell's favorite books to read are biographical, nonfiction, and poems by other poets. Darrell honestly doesn't believe in love at first sight because he feels as if it will only result in a relationship that is temporary.

Not Just a Man’s World, Female Entrepreneurs Are Making Noise (NewsUSA) – They can outperform boys in school, will probably live longer than their male counterparts and, according to the Financial Times, are forecast to outnumber men as millionaires by 2020 in the UK So, why are there still so few women entrepreneurs around the world?

Oh, there are a handful: Marrisa Mayer, president and CEO of Yahoo. Lynn Good, CEO of Duke Energy, and Mary Barra, CEO of GM, to name a few. Yet, it appears these notable women are still the exception rather than the rule. Still, one woman is betting that America is on the cusp of change, at the same time acknowledging that, “while the Mad Men days may be over, we’re also not quite there yet.” Erica Solis, co-founder of MovoCash (www.movocash.com), a mobile payments technology company, believes that women are being empowered more than ever to be successful in business. “As a young female entrepreneur, this is a tremendous advantage as the world shifts its mindset to how they view women in the workplace,” says Solis. Solis, a millennial, whose first job out of college was for a startup company that is now publicly traded and has over 200 employees, should know. Her father has been in the fin-tech (financial-technology) field for the last 15 years, and she has seen first-hand the amount of hard work, agility and confidence it takes to be an entrepreneur. This experience made the decision to go work for her father, Eric Solis, an easy one. Together, the father-daughter team created MovoCash, a payment platform that allows consumers to link their bank accounts to their MovoCash account for mobile payments with no limitation on the number of supported banks. Unlike Apple Pay or PayPal, MovoCash eliminates the direct link required by conventional near-field communication (NFC), which has been lauded for its security and convenience, but is being criticized by both analysts and merchants, who say that consumers are not yet comfortable paying with their phone, and that the NFC technology is more expensive to implement than traditional card systems. “I think the environment for women is exciting,” says Laurie Itkin, financial advisor and author of the book “Every Woman Should Know Her Options.” “Starting your own business gives a woman the opportunity to be a leader, an opportunity that she might not have in a corporation.” Solis agrees. “I feel very fortunate to be in a country that encourages women to take risks, and be innovative and bold. This is a major advantage every American female entrepreneur has today,” says Solis.

Who is DJ SPARKX you may ask? Well, we are more than happy to inform you here. His given name is Marcus Jerome Dupree, born in September, of 1973, in a town called Marietta, in Georgia, currently residing in Lakewood, Colorado. Where he happens to be “The Finest, Most Popular DJ in this great nation.

DJ Sparkx began his career in the music industry with the recording deal of his cousin Kaycee Grogan with Columbia Records. This is where he would learn from the best in the business. He began working under Kim Burst, an A&R who also went on to discover Destiny's Child. He would work as a Street Team member, eventually becoming a Promoter. Back then Marcus would head up a street team and have them post fliers all over the city promoting events & concerts. Marcus would fly to different cities weeks before the artists would get there to set up store displays and go to radio stations to provide publicity, so that once the artists arrived, things were already in motion to make an immediate impact.

Sparkin It Up^ The very first artist he would work for was a very young, little known female singer by the name of Mariah Carey. He was instrumental in helping her get recognized by promoting her arrival in various cities. When Marcus was only 14 years old Columbia Records provided tutors on the road when he was in Atlanta, he would attend High school on and off. It is safe to say that since a very young age he's been working in this industry. Marcus was making about 1700 dollars a month at 14 years old. Imagine!

After working with Columbia Records Street Team until the age of 16, Marcus began to express an interest in the recording studio. His first experience was in a studio where he met another very young man by the name of Dallas Austin. At the time Dallas was working with a group called ABC.

Marcus would sit in on sessions with another young intern named Kevin Parker, where he showed a willingness to learn so deeply that Kevin became inspired by Marcus's dedication. This was when another gentleman by the name of Alvin Spikes took them both under his wing to teach them how to engineer.

The very first project they worked on was with Michael Jackson and Biggie Smalls, called “This Time Around” Throughout the next three years they all worked on some of the biggest projects for many well known recording names in the industry, great talents like: Gun's & Roses, & The Foo Fighters,, Marcus worked with Slash, and even got a chance to work with Nirvana before Kurt Cobain died. Marcus went on to work for E.I. Studio's in Smyrna, Ga. where he began engineering on a young singers new album. Oh, the singers name: Usher! He did additional work for The Ying Yang Twins, Lil Jon Kings of Krunk, Ludacris, and many others. After a few years at E.I., now twenty-eight years old, Marcus landed an internship with V103, a radio station in Atlanta, but instead decided to work at a New Gospel radio station that was getting started over at 97.5. Here he worked under Ryan Cameron, and Donnie Mcclurkin, and this is where he was taught the art of broadcasting! His first interview was with Maurette Brown Clark at the Essence Music Festival in Atlanta. Here, on stage he got to introduce a young female group by the name of Jade, and while backstage he also met Bobby Brown, who took him into a limousine and offered him the opportunity to work as an intern at his new studio named “Bosstown”.

It was at this time that Marcus decided to go back to school to further his education at The Art Institute of Atlanta where he was befriended by a young African who went by the stage name of Akon.

He showed him around campus and helped him find housing, he was also a classmate. Here they met a new friend who also was about to graduate, and had a group preforming around town by the name of Arrested Development. They went around the city working on different projects, one such project was called The Looney Tunes.

Life took a turn for the worse, Marcus fell on hard times, and then had to leave school, things became so rough, times became so hard that he fell into homelessness for almost two years.

Then a church family in the vicinity that was doing some Out Reach noticed something about Marcus, saw something in him, enough so as to take him in and give him a spare room to help him get back on his feet. They bought him a computer tower. Marcus then learned to build a computer from scratch, piece by piece, by reading books from the library, learning how to fix computers, how to build them. He began to research how to build an internet radio station, and don't you know a Gospel Internet radio station was born, Dyznamic.com with Dj Minister Marc D. He began broadcasting on air, things went so well a Dj Wade O contacted him and asked if he would like to interview a young up & coming Holy Hip Hop Artist named Lecrae, and thus began an internet revolution.! The interview then became a show, so popular that he was contacted by Christian Rapper T-Bone, who asked if he would like to be an official radio broadcaster at the Holy Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta.

Due to the success of The Holy Hip Hop Awards, a new opportunity appeared when, upon hearing the show, The Ohio Center for Broadcasting contacted Marcus, requesting that he come to Colorado to hone his craft at their facilities. So now a new adventure began. Arriving in Colorado, with no family, with no friends, not knowing a soul, Marcus began to work at La Quinta Inn, in Aurora, where he also lived, meaning he was going to be traveling by bus for three hours daily to Lakewood just to attend his classes. However, on the first day of school he landed an internship for KYGO working as a Country Radio DJ, the only Black man at the time on a Country Radio station.
