Kids Reading in the Car. Your children love to read, but do you worry about them damaging their eyes if they read while riding in the car?

“Let them read!”

It isn’t thought to cause any real damage. If you don’t feel sick, get dizzy or nauseous while doing it ... then it’s fine to continue. READ ON! CRYSTAL DUNCAN

“They’re having fun, so let them.” Read it and weep later. Life is fun and so are books.

ANNA SELLERS

“Is it damaging?

What is it about reading in a car that could possibly damage one’s eyes? ROWENA SORIANO GONZALEZ ALDRIDGE

“Don’t if they’ll get car sick.”

I get horribly car sick when reading in a moving vehicle. My children, too. That’s all I would be concerned about. KRISTEN EVERETT

“Why stop?” Keep reading ...

HEATHER TUNE

“Show them how to read the books while in the car.”

The only way it can hurt your eyes is the lighting. I have read in the car since I was little. If you just use a book light when it gets darker and hold the book to reduce the reflection on the page you will be fine! That’s what my eye doctor told me to do so READ ON as others so eloquently put it! NICOLE WIGGINS
