Heart of glass is our range dedicated to the care of natural, bleached and chemically treated blondes. Blonde hair, often particularly dry, dull and stressed by chemical treatments and everyday beauty routines, is deserving of special nourishing, reinforcing, repairing and brightening treatments.

INNOVATIVE FORMULA

In the Heart of glass formulations, the Davines laboratories have expertly combined cutting-edge technological ingredients with innovative natural raw materials, such as the Biacidic Bond Complex, Baobab extract, and the exclusive Fortifying Botanical Shield, to obtain products with a proven cosmetic effect that protect and treat hair, with high percentages of naturality and biodegradability. All the references of the line contain an innovative extract obtained from the seeds of Baobab, that deeply conditions, nourishes, tames, strengthens and restores elasticity to the hair. It is a botanical alternative to silicones. The Biacidic Bond Complex is a mix of molecules created and patented by the Davines Laboratories and it has a double action: it promotes the repair of damage while preventing further damage. It can be found in Heart of glass Intense Treatment and Rich Conditioner. The Fortifying Botanical Shield is an innovative natural multi-functional active ingredient created and patented by the Davines Laboratories, which thanks to its film-forming properties imparts thermal protection, elasticity and helps the hairstyle to last longer. It’s included in the formulation of Heart of glass Sheer Glaze. The line also includes a specific natural indigo-blue extract obtained from the Jagua fruit, which acts as a natural pigment that can balance unwanted reflects and brighten warm, cool as well as natural blonde hair and can be used at every wash without any risk of chromatic overcharge.

SUSTAINABILITY

All the products in the line are carbon offset, as the CO2 emissions generated by raw materials, production, packaging, transport, and final disposal are neutralized through the EthioTrees ans Scolel’te reforestation projects promoted by Davines. The Heart of glass line is a combination of cutting-edge ingredients and the maximization of natural and highly biodegradable raw materials, suggesting them as excellent alternatives to traditional substances, such as silicones, acrylates, and synthetic pigments. Heart of glass products contain from 83.3% to 96.8% natural ingredients* and from 89.0% to 98.5% biodegradable ingredients**.

*Calculated deeming only ingredients without any synthetic portions (of 100% natural origin) to be of natural origin. This criterion is different and more restrictive than the one commonly used by other brands. ** Calculated in accordance with the methods OECD 301 which applies the term “readily biodegradable” to ingredients which, in 28 days, have degraded to at least 70%.

PACKAGING

The products of the Heart of glass line are produced and packaged at the Davines Village with energy entirely from renewable sources. The bottles and jars are made from 99% post-consumer recycled plastic, and the black packaging is made with a specific recyclable colorant, that enables the selection and recycling process. All the materials used for the packaging of this line are fully recyclable.
