HOW I T BEG A N Joseph Corsaro (David’s grandfather) came to the United States at the age of 8 from Calabria Italy. At the young age of 13, he left school to help make money for his immigrant family living in Port Chester NY. Joseph’s first job was working in a flower shop. Joseph then met Mary and they married. Mary was a seamstress and helped save money to buy their home together. David’s grandmother’s sister, Ida, owned a Bridal boutique where she made bridal gowns. In fact, she made David’s Mother, JoAnn, her wedding gown. Joseph continued to work at the flower shop for 35 years and eventually purchased the shop growing it into a successful business. It is here where David’s’ career begins. The Italian roots, the joy for fashion and beauty blossomed and David at the age of 19 started his career in flowers and eventually into Bridal fashion. Today, David Tutera presides over an awardwinning company built from experience, and dedication.

The David Tutera Atelier Bridal Collection symbolizes LOVE and the celebration of LOVE symbolizes the greatness of life. With every wedding dress I design, it is always with the deepest hope that when a bride wears my gown, she will feel not only special but simply beautiful and amazing, because she is!
