Printing Your Portraits

Printing Your Portraits
Together, we’ve created some fantastic portraits! Now what? One of the best ways to enjoy your new portraits is to have them printed.
Printing a photo brings it to life in a way that isn’t possible with today’s standard methods of sharing digital images. It makes that moment, that memory, real and tangible - something you can hold in your hands. In fact, did you know that you can expect a high-quality print to last one hundred years (or more)!

Of course, when it comes to prints, you get what you pay for. While places like the supermarket or pharmacy down the street may offer prints at a steal of a price, the low price often matches the quality. The employees producing the prints usually have no special training, nor do they take special care not to smudge or crease your photos.
Too many times, I’ve had a great photo printed only to find that there are lines in the image from a poorly cleaned print-head or creases from mishandling. I hope to spare you from encountering these same problems.
Since a great portrait deserves excellent print quality, I have determined that the best course of action is to ask that you allow me to handle all print orders for portraits we have created together. I use only the best photo labs and have the photos delivered to me for inspection. Once I am satisfied that each portrait meets the highest quality standard, I hand-deliver them to you.
In the following pages, I have outlined some of the most common print sizes and paper types. The list of products in this booklet is nowhere near exhaustive, so if you don’t see what you are looking for, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me to find a print size and type that matches your needs.
Fine Art and Photographic Prints
A digital photo provides a temporary feeling of connection with a moment in time as it scrolls by. A printed photo is a tangible, persistent reminder of the memories we cherish most.

Fine Art Print Pricing
The print sizes listed below are some of the most common sizes, so frames should be readily available wherever picture frames are sold. Other sizes, mounting and framing options are available upon request.
Smooth Matte
Smooth Matte is a 100% cotton hot press paper. It has the smoothest surface of the fine art papers I offer.
Velvet
Velvet is a 100% cotton paper. It has a patterned texture with a similar look and feel to watercolor paper.
Velvet has a delicate surface that is less resistant to scratches and scuffs than other fine art surfaces. Loose or mounted, these prints must be handled with extra care.
Torchon
Torchon by Hahnemühle is a pure cellulose watercolor paper with a distinct textured surface. This is the highest quality fine art paper that I offer.
Photo Rag Baryta
Photo Rag Baryta by Hahnemühle is a 100% cotton paper with an inkjet coating, giving it a high-gloss finish. Give your fine art images an elegant sheen with warm whites and rich blacks, ideal for black and white images, including portraits.
