Colombia y Aruba están unidas por nuestra hermandad IDMJI, la cual tiene en Revista ZION un mensajero que llega a los lugares que usted nunca imaginó llegar. Mónica García jamás imaginaría que una mochila que compró en La Guajira (Colombia), le traería la oportunidad de desarrollar su negocio hacia el Caribe Neerlandés. Una linda mochila Wayúu que Mónica usaba, llamó la atención de un hermano arubeño, quien le contó a Mónica que el pueblo Wayúu (asentado en la costa caribeña colombo-venezolana, donde Mónica compró su mochila), hace parte de los pueblos indígenas arawak que, si bien se desplazaron hacia Sudamérica, también migraron a las Antillas, llegando hasta Aruba. Así que al día de hoy, gracias a la hermandad IDMJI, una hermana colombiana ha establecido la exportación de mochilas wayúu a la colorida isla caribeña. Colombia and Aruba are linked together by our CGMJCI, a brotherhood that has in ZION Magazine a messenger that reaches places you never imagined to reach. Monica Garcia never thought that one mochila she bought at La Guajira (Colombia), would give her the opportunity to develop a business towards the Dutch Caribbean. Only one nice mochila was enough to get the attention of an Aruban brother, who told Monica that the Wayuu people (settled at the Colombo-Venezuelan Caribbean coast where Monica bought her mochila), belongs to the arawak indigenous tribe. Although they settled in South America, they also migrated to the Antilles, reaching Aruba as well. To the day, and thanks to the CGMJCI brotherhood, a colombian sister has been able to export Wayuu mochilas to the colored Caribbean island. El proyecto fue propuesto y liderado por los hermanos Diego Rodríguez y Carmenza Mendoza. Este galardón ha sido otorgado por el Registro de Direcciones de Internet para América Latina y el Caribe (LACNIC), el Centro Internacional de Investigaciones para el Desarrollo (IDRC) y la Internet Society (ISOC). Es la segunda vez que se recibe un premio de tal magnitud. La primera vez fue en el 2010 cuando la Fundación RED de Sanción Social Contra el Abuso Sexual Infantil, liderado por mi hija, la senadora Alexandra Moreno Piraquive, recibió el premio ORO FRIDA/eLAC2010 en la Conferencia Ministerial sobre la Sociedad de Información de América Latina y el Caribe, por el uso innovador de TIC’s en prevención del –ASI– y la –ESCNNA-. Agradezco a Dios por darnos estos reconocimientos ante el mundo y que podamos contribuir significativamente en nuestra sociedad.
The Lord has given new victories to His Church through the work achieved through its foundations. As the President of MLMIF (Maria Luisa de Moreno International Foundation), I had the honor to travel to Buenos Aires (Argentina) to receive the FRIDA/IGF 2011 Award for Best Web Campaign. The project ViaNostrum.com was supported with the votes of 20,222 net surfers, who chose the proposal of creating a virtual social network of knowledge to strengthen social initiatives. The project was proposed and led by sister Carmenza Mendoza and brother Diego Rodriguez. This award has been granted by the Internet Address Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACNIC), the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), and the Internet Society (ISOC). It is the second time the foundation receives a prize of such magnitude. The first time was in 2010 when the Foundation’s Social Network of Sanction Against Child Sexual Abuse led by my daughter, the senator Alexandra Moreno Piraquive, was awarded the GOLD FRIDA/ eLAC 2010 at the Ministerial Conference. It was an award given by the Information Society in Latin America and the Caribbean for the innovative use of ICT’s. I thank God for letting the world witness these awards, and for the way we are meaningfully being able to contribute to our society.

editorial Por voluntad de Dios, se hace entrega de la quinta edición de la revista ∑ion Internacional. El tema central es sobre las Lenguas de la Biblia. Muchas personas han preguntado sobre el lenguaje original de las Sagradas Escrituras, y por esta razón, se decidió preparar un artículo informativo sobre los idiomas en que fueron escritos los libros de la Biblia. Además, se continuará la serie de artículos referentes a los 40 años de la Iglesia, con las memorias de uno de los hermanos más antiguos de la Iglesia, el Hermano Félix Bernate, quien narra acontecimientos que ocurrieron en la década de los 70’s. En la sección de Perfiles, se incluye una entrevista a la Hermana Leticia Parra quien nos revela la grandiosa historia del Instituto Bíblico. Además, encontrarán reseñas históricas de otras Obras de la IDMJI y un artículo especial sobre la Fundación Internacional María Luisa de Moreno. En la sección de El Actual Atlas de la Iglesia, se abordarán las Obras de Centroamérica, con especial énfasis en las de Panamá. El equipo editorial espera que esta entrega les agrade y que Dios nos siga permitiendo la publicación de esta maravillosa revista. By the will of God, Σion International Magazine is delivering its fifth edition. In it, the main article talks on the languages of the Bible. Many people have asked about the original language of the Scriptures, and for this reason, we decided to prepare an informative article on the languages in which the books of the Bible were written. In addition, we will continue the series of articles dealing with the 40 years of the Church, this time with the memories of one of the oldest brothers of the Church, Brother Felix Bernate, who narrates events that occurred in the early 70's. In the Profiles section, an interview with Sister Leticia Parra is included. She reveals the Bible Institute’s great history. You may also find other historical accounts of the CGMJCI

En la pasada edición se publicó que la hermana Ana Cristancho era la profetizadora más antigua de la Iglesia. La revista ZION quiere hacer una aclaración sobre esta información. La Iglesia de Dios Ministerial de Jesucristo Internacional empezó oficialmente con cuatro personas, entre las que se encontraba la Hermana María Luisa. Ella fue la primera persona de ese primer grupo en recibir el Don de la Profecía. La Hermana Ana Cristancho ya profetizaba, pero se unió al grupo tiempo después. Por eso, es más correcto decir que la Hermana Ana Cristancho es una de las profetizadoras más antiguas, mientras que la Hermana María Luisa es la primera profetizadora de la IDMJI. In the last edition, it was published sister Ana Cristancho was the most long standing prophesier of the Church. ZION International Magazine wants to make a clarification on this information. The CGMJCI officially began with four people, among whom was Sister Maria Luisa. She was the first person in that group who received the Gift of Prophecy. Sister Ana Cristancho was also a prophesier, but joined the group later. Therefore, it is more correct to say that Sister Ana Cristancho is one of our oldest prophesiers, while Sister Maria Luisa is the CGMJCI’s first prophesier.
