Toughra to End of WWI, very potent and diverse consignment of interesting covers, cards, etc., starts with a toughra cover and couple with Duloz issues, then 1884 cover to South Africa missent to USA, also 16 covers or cards selected for censor marks, then a variety of neg. seal cancels, scarcer small-town cds (incl. Anatolia), Austrian Ministry cancels on Turkish franking, rare “ERENKEUV” spelling var. on ppc, also ppc from Brousse showing sharp “Postal Express Service / N°975” cds (USA army?), superb Brumana neg. seal (C&W fig. 75, Rated “20”) on repaired cover, 1901 Dedeagatch neg. seal on pc, 1910 Stamboul local delivery cds on pc, etc. also 6 unused postal cards (incl. message-reply) with various Local Post ovpts. on franking, and 1872 City Post “P.P.” neg. seal frank on unused entire (ex Cole, rare). Finally, superb strike of Makri GREECE double-lined seal (not the Anatolian port) on loose single with notes, and Salonika cds incl. 2 in red on 5 loose blocks of four. SEAL CANCELS, 1870 on, select group of 35 covers (two with Duloz frankings) and 3 telegramme receipts, showing negative seals from various towns incl. Konia, Tokat (?), Ayntab (to Swedish Consul in Aleppo), Senije, Hadjin, Dedeagach, Karahissar, Seyyar Memuru TPO (several), various Constantinople & area, etc., mixed condition with most being fine or better, examine (Est. e400/600)

MIXED COUNTRY FRANKINGS, interesting lot of four items: 1872 cover from Aleppo to London via French P.O. at Alexandrette (pair of 30c tied by GC 5079) with Duloz 1pi and 20pa Due tied to reverse for internal postage; 1880 French PO Constantinople (pair of 25c Group Type tied there) to Aleppo with similar Duloz tied on reverse; 1873 partial cover (3 backflaps removed) from Venice (60c Italy tied) to Scutari, Albania with Duloz 20pa plus bisect of 1pi tied by seal paying for courier service between Antivari and Scutari; and 1897 coloured ppc with GB 1/2d + Turkey 5pa printed matter issue both tied by unusual (British PO? Romanian?) cds, slightly mixed condition, fine overall (Est. e200/300)

Interesting lot of 17 covers or cards (most), plus cplt. telegramme from Makrikeui with seal hs (C&W fig. 115, the actual item illustrated), and a cover front, most from Constantinople or suburbs but incl. 1878 pc from British compound at Besika Bay (cancelled at Gallipoli), Yalilar (Salonica; C&W fig. 34), and 7 with variety of Adrianople cancels incl. neg. seal, good variety if mixed condition, examine (Est. e200/300)

Anatolia cancellations, highly developed and quite comprehensive collection arranged in alphabetical order (per Coles & Walker) in two stockbooks, with a similar showing of Eastern Thrace, cancels range from early neg. seals to later cds, and showing a thorough range of issues from extensive Duloz period to 1920, and could form the basis for further specialisation with the addition of covers where available. Hundreds of stamps, self-evidently a long-time project difficult to match, examine (Est. e600/900)
