David Emory Fleet

Based in Panama City Beach, Florida, David Emory Fleet is the Founder and Board President of the Niceville, FL location of the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (ECCAC). ECCAC is a child-friendly environment with state-of-the-art technology for interviews, on-site medical evaluations, and assessments. A multi-disciplinary team of law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, mental health workers, social services, and a child protection team reviews cases and tracks the progress through the Center’s case advocate program. The center employs full-time licensed psychological therapists to help minimize the trauma that abused children experience. The center provides community resources for information regarding referrals or assistance. They also provide expert education and training presentations on a local, state, and national scale. David Emory Fleet attended Florida State University for his Bachelor of Science degree. He then continued his education by earning his Juris Doctor at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He was admitted to the bar and spent nearly 18 years as Assistant State Attorney in the First Judicial Circuit of Florida. A love for teaching and a wealth of knowledge brought David to Northwest Florida State College as an Adjunct Professor and Lead Legal Instructor at the school’s Criminal Justice Training Center. Run by the Institute of Police Technology and Management (IPTM), the full-time faculty is supplemented by a cadre of highly qualified adjunct instructors such as David, who keep the programs up to date on modern technology, current trends, and social demands.
