COACHING STAFF HEAD COACH | CHRIS ALLEN In four seasons at the helm, Chris Allen’s foundation on the Davenport women’s soccer program became complete in 2012 when his Panthers captured their first ever Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament titles and appear in the NAIA Tournament for the first time. For his role in piloting a team that was predicted to finish third before the season started, the WHAC coaches agreed to name Allen the league’s Coach of the Year. Winning the two WHAC championships were not the only major highlight the Panthers achieved under Allen’s watch in 2012. After winning a program record 11 matches in 2011, the Panthers would go on to shatter the record one year later, going 17-3-1, including a perfect 8-0 in WHAC play. He also accomplished the goals of scoring a program-high 60 goals while conceding 19. In addition to allowing 19 goals in 21 matches, the Panthers also posted a program-record 12 shutouts. The Panthers were also successful in producing AllAmericans on the field and in the classroom. Throughout his career, Allen has coached at high levels, specifically with Halifax Town Football Club and Vardar West Soccer Club. While coaching for Vardar West, Allen guided his team to three straight Michigan State Cup Championship games, winning the prestigious honor back-to-back in 2008 and 2009, granting them two births to the Region 2 National Championship series. Allen also won the Midwest Regional League D1 Championship in 2008. In the summer of 2010 he guided the Chicago Fire Juniors - Michigan to the Super Y National Championships in Tampa, Fla. Allen spent time in the summer of 2010 learning from Manchester United first team coach Rene Meulensteen, who has coached stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez. Allen currently holds both FA Level 2 and USSF D coaching licenses.

Allen is no stranger when it comes to Davenport athletics as he played a stellar four-year career for the Panthers men’s team. During his career, he helped DU become one of the elite forces in not only the WHAC but also the Region, compiling an overall record of 36-26-4 while claiming the 2005 WHAC Tournament championship and reaching the regional championship. Allen currently resides in Grand Rapids while the rest of his family lives in Huddersfield, England.

ASSISTANT COACH | KRISTEN EIBLE Kristen Eible returns to Davenport for her second season as an assistant coach after completing a standout playing career at Grand Valley State University. In her first season at Davenport, Eible helped guide the Panthers to a perfect record in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, en route to the program’s first regular-season and tournament titles. The Panthers would also make their first ever appearance in the NAIA Tournament during the 2012 season. As a student-athlete, Eible left GVSU as one of the all-time greats as she led the Lakers to back-to-back national championships in 2009 and 2010. A four-time All-GLIAC performer, Eible collected various awards throughout her career including the GLIAC Freshman of the Year, the 2010 GLIAC Commissioner’s Award and was honored as an Academic All-American during her senior campaign. In her four seasons in a Laker uniform, Eible helped the team to an 87-7-3 record. Eible also serves as the East Grand Rapids Varsity Girls Soccer Coach and coaches for Western Michigan Fire Juniors. Eible graduated from Grand Valley State with a degree in secondary education in 2010.
