Kingdom Ambassadors Together By Daverro Smith

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved." Acts 2:42-47 (New International Version) Wow...What a chur-ch! These people were devoted to God. They believed in the work God was doing through them. They had trust. Verse 47 says that they were praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. Can you believe this? What a relationship they had with each other. It's beautiful! They were all together in unity. I believe we must learn to be together as a body. Have you ever heard the saying, "I only have one body, so I have to take care of it"? Well we only have one spiritual body (Romans 12:3-5) and we have to learn to appreciate it. Lets learn to love

one another (1 John 4:7-10), practice love, practice doing good things to each other (Hebrews 10:25) and learn to enjoy each other. After all, you only have one body. I believe there is a wonderful blessing when we catch on to this revelation. Psalm 133:1-2 says, "How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down upon the collar of his robes." It is good and pleasant! We must resist the temptation to stay away from the family of God; especially our immediate family (Hebrews 10:25). Many people are falling into this temptation and therefore are missing an important ingredient. They become malnourished Christians, thinking they are strong but they are weak. You would make an easy target for the devil if you separate yourself from God's will in this manner. We need each other. We cannot fulfill the will of God for our life on our own. Selfishness is about one person, selflessness is about all. I encourage you to pray and ask Jesus to ignite the passion for his beautiful body. If you are one who has wandered away or separated yourself from the body, I ask that you would change your direction, change the way you think and regain fellowship with his wonderful Bride.ď –
