Envi protection orientation for DCWD scholars

Tulong Aral ng DCWD scholars attended the environment protection orientation organized by Davao City Water District on November 29, 2018 at Boss Carreon Event Hall in Malagos. The activity which formed part of the 18th DCWD Goes to School Project was part of the learning and development component of the scholarship program to strengthen the partnership between DCWD and the scholars on advocating for watershed protection and rehabilitation. In attendance were 100 grade six student achievers from Malagos Elementary SPED School and Baguio, Baracayo, Bartolome, Cadalian, Gatungan, Gumalang, Lacson, Malalan, Marilog, Quezon, Tambobong, Tamugan, Tawan-Tawan, Tungkalan, and Wines elementary schools. DCWD speakers discussed relevant topics relating to Davao City’s watersheds, water cycle, water conservation, and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH). For their part, the participants and their moderators pledged to fulfill their roles as stewards of the environment. All students and teachers received customized promotional materials bearing various environment protection and water conservation messages.
