• Dauerholz offers new design options: In addition to the standard dimension of 145 x 25 mm, many other dimensions are available. • Because of the ergonomic profile and effective non-slip treatment, Dauerholz is the perfect „outdoor plank“. • Dauerholz terrace planking is finger-jointed. This high-tech process can create knot-free wood of exceptional length. Terrace building made easy - our tips: •
Please observe the minimum joint spacing necessary for Dauerholz planks: - for a width of 90 mm: at least 5 mm joint spacing - for a width of 145 mm: at least 7 mm joint spacing - for a width of 190 mm: at least 8 mm joint spacing - between the ends of the planks at least 3 mm spacing
• Lay a Dauerholz substructure under the planks at least every 50 cm. • Dauerholz is very strong – please pre-drill the planks. •
Please use two screws at each support point when you fasten the planks to the substructure (see drawing).
• Do not insert the screws too deeply, they should be flush with the surface of the wood. We recommend SPAX-D terrace screws. • If using DAUERHOLZ PLUS, please apply further treatment with the special Dauerschön oil four weeks after laying the terrace.
