A premium celebration of exemplary excellence in the wedding industry in Tanzania known as “Harusi Awards” took place on Sunday May 16th at Dar es Salaam Serena hotel. The event aimed to acknowledge the important role played by wedding vendors and service providers by awarding their exemplary excellence in their supply of products and services.
The Guest of Honor was the Chairperson of the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) Ms. Angelina Ngalula. The event was crowded by the stakeholders from the wedding sector, family and friends. The entire process began by the nominations of wedding vendors and service providers in the respective categories which through instagram on the Harusi Awards official page @harusiawards, text messages and whatsapp to Harusi Awards official contact number, the later the nominees confirmed their participation in this premium harusi awards platform. Over 365 nominees were nominated from over 2000 responses from the general public.
In this awards platform, not only votes from the general public could determine the winner, there was also a jury session. The jury consisted of five (5) members who had a concise knowledge and understanding on the operation of the wedding industry. Votes from the jury and votes from the general public had equal weighting of 50% each. The entire voting process was assured by INNOVEX TANZANIA.
“The Harusi Awards 2021 was officially launched on the 12th April 2021 by a press conference which took place at Dar Es Salaam Serena hotel. A moment after the official launch the final nominees were publicly disseminated in their respective categories and the voting process began. The voting was done through the Harusi Awards official website www.awards.co.tz.”
