Created to overcome the constant problem of traffic disruption and water force damage to property and vegetation in the testing area. Discharge stream velocity is slowed and redirected while flowing through a series of steel grids. The pattern diverter, on outer edge of discharge cone, directs diffused stream to side or down, depending on adjustable settings. Slots in the case inlet adapter permit a firm hold of pitot gauge against the full water force before diffusion, assuring a more accurate pitot reading. The pipe-like projection at the right serves as a handle for easy threading during hydrant attachment. Even high pressure hydrants delivering 1125 gpm are now limited to a discharge distance of 5'. Fire Hose Tester with Pressure Washer and Tool Tray The Fire Hose Tester is easy-to-use and comes standard with four outlets, stainless steel balls valves, 11/2 NST male discharges and a 11/2 NST male inlet, 3 gallons a minute at 600 psi. It is capable of testing up to 6" diameter hose, and 300' per discharge. The Fire Hose Tester comes standard with an easy-to-use wheeled cart that fits Non-marking hose, heavy-duty through standard 36" doorways. Also included wand and handle is a built-in pressure washer with 25' of 3/8" non-marking hose, a quick-release, heavy-duty wand and handle, a stainless steel nozzle with stream straightener and a quick-connect injector and metering valve for adding cleaning agents to the water supply. Dechlorinating Diffuser The Dechlorinating Diffuser uses either LPD-Chlor™ Tablets (contains Sodium Sulfite 81.3%) or Vita-D-Chlor™ Tablets (Ascorbic Acid-Vitamin C) that neutralize the chlorine/ chloramines in the water you are flushing. When using the LPD-CHLOR tablets, the Dechlorinating Diffuser consumes about 1 tablet per 2,500 gallons - the feed tube should be topped off with additional tablets after each increment about 10,000 gallons of flow. Weighing 33 lbs., the Dechlorinating Diffuser is heavy enough to take the day-to-day abuse of flushing. You can flush straight off a hydrant or attach a hose to point the flow where you want it to go. Handle flows from 200 - 1,250 gpm and hydrant pressures up to 200 psi.
