James Henderson: “What a crazy year! My wife, Sara, and I moved out to California in April as I started work at Uber, where I focused on building products for urban aerial mobility. That journey culminated in my team’s divestiture and acquisition by Joby Aviation, followed rapidly by Joby’s SPAC one month later. In the process I became a licensed pilot and learned a ton about air traffic management in the U.S., and Sara is well on her way to her own wings! I’ll be transitioning out of air mobility for the time being and will join Facebook as a product manager in July. Glad 2020 is in the books but we made some lemonade!”
Christopher R. Skinner, wife Cameron and son Finnegan moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, in August 2020 after a whirlwind summer. After celebrating graduation from Darden in May, Christopher and Cameron were married on the steps of Jefferson’s Rotunda in a socially distanced ceremony. Christopher began work with Truist Securities remotely while moving out of the family’s home in Charlottesville and buying a first family home in Charlotte. Finn turned 1 year old in October, and the family have enjoyed the opportunity to spend a bit more time together at home than they otherwise might, while regretting the challenges COVID-19 presents to them and the world.
Alexandra Moss: “After graduation, my husband (Brendan) and I moved to Marblehead, Massachusetts. We were married in our backyard in a small ceremony on 26 September 2020. We are hoping to celebrate with a larger group of family and friends this summer. I am also hoping to see classmates in Charlottesville in May!”

Hans Bombeck (TEP ’66) reminisced: “Hello, ex-classmates! Where have you gone, where have you been? Fifty-five years ago in Charlottesville: What a stimulating summer it was!
“Retirement makes you dig in the past. To me, the 1966 TEP still means a great deal. It kicked off an international career, which saw me engaged by and with Fortune 500 U.S. corporations overseas and heading the U.S. subsidiaries of major European enterprises in the United States.
More to follow! Please get in touch. Would love to read your latest and distribute it. I am living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. My email address is hcb1800@gmail.com.”
