Feasibility Studies and Site Surveys

Interior Design
As well as assisting with site selection, we undertake in-depth feasibility studies on proposed developments, analysing the potential and practicality of a project by considering issues such as the site location, access, environmental impact, market potential, planning implications, structural issues and operational practicality. With a comprehensive cost and benefit analysis and risk assesment report, we endeavor to address any potential issues before implementing the design scheme. We also undertake thorough technical surveys by measuring, photographing and researching the proposed site, recording all information relevant to the development. We assess elements such as the structure, drainage, electrics and fire safety. Once recorded, we are able to produce accurate CAD plans of the site.
A key aspect of GMP’s design service is in our production of high quality 3D visuals. With offices in the U.K and Thailand, our 24 hour visualisation team are able to work on the same projects in different time zones, thus delivering realistic visuals in rapid time. Whilst C.A.D drawings still play an important role in our designs, our 3D visualisation service offers a realistic vision of the finished project. Our extensive project experience and understanding of the construction process ensures that all final visuals produced are realistic and can be brought to life without complication. Our experienced visualisation team has created visuals for over 650 projects around the world.
With constant and comprehensive client consultation, we develop the design concept with the creation of mood boards, proposed plans and sample boards which are all produced with the client’s brief and budget in mind. Once initial plans are approved by the client, we liaise with the relevant planning bodies, managing all planning and building regulation applications.

Project and Cost Management
Site Supervision
Preparing detailed working drawings, designs and plans using C.A.D and other visualisation software, we are able to finalise a design scheme, specifying all building elements and materials and creating accurate drawing packages for building contractors.
At GMP we are capable of managing construction projects from start to finish. With a firm grip on the planning, scheduling, co-ordination and financial aspects of a project, we are able to work independently or with appointed quantity surveyors to ensure that all work is completed to specification, on time and within the agreed budget. Our extensive experience includes the preparation of tender packages, budget estimation, scheduling of works and the appointment of contractors. With 20 years experience in international procurement, we source high quality, value for money products from around the world and are also capable of managing clients’ direct purchases.
At GMP we are actively involved with on-site developments, coordinating with site managers and holding frequent site meetings which enable us to provide our clients with regular progress reports. We closely monitor the performance of appointed contractors, ensuring every installation is to specification and that all quality standards and health and safety requirements are met. With close site supervision, we are able to resolve any issues that arise during construction.

The company was founded by award winning chartered designer Neil Morten whose experience and wealth of knowledge has proved invaluable to our clients over the last 20 years. A specialist in the licensed leisure industry, Neil worked as a dj in bars and clubs over an eight year period and having run three successful venues himself, Neil has amassed an in-depth understanding of the leisure sector. As a result of this operational experience, Neil places great emphasis on functionality, leaving GMP strongly positioned in the planning and implementation of interior and exterior schemes. Having designed numerous award winning venues in the U.K and overseas, Neil’s skills encompass all aspects of design and project management.
With key skills in imaginative design, Autocad detailing and project management, Darren has extensive design and project management experience co-ordinating a wide range of leisure industry refurbishment projects across the U.K. Specialising in the pub and restaurant industry, he has undertaken and managed numerous projects for clients such as M&B, Young’s and Orchid. From quick turnaround projects to multi-million pound long-term contracts, Darren has worked on an array of projects including traditional pubs, contemporary bars and restaurants. With an impressive portfolio built up over 12 years, Darren’s expertise and depth of design experience has been vital to the success of numerous GMP projects.

Placing a significant focus on the cosmetics of your venue, we maximise the use of soft furnishings, wall graphics and wall coverings, relatively inexpensive features which, when combined with other elements can assist in totally transforming the look and feel of a venue.
