Remember, it is Yahshua’s doctrine and not man’s, and Yahshua clearly stated that His doctrine was not His own but from Yahweh who sent Him (Joh 7:16).

Irenaeus respected Polycarp because he was a man of truth and integrity but he swayed toward the teachings of Rome.

“Irenaeus though he departed from much of Polycarp’s teaching, maintained a lifelong admiration for Polycarp as a great man of Elohim.” 12 99
