Dr. Milton Muelder was instrumental in the creation of the Intramural Sports “Learn to Swim” program. Through his generosity he has taught thousands of area youth the lifelong skill of swimming. He continues to swim at IM Sports West almost daily.
Celebrating 101 Years of Exercise
Demonstration Hall is the former ice rink before Munn was built in 1974. The Morrill Act of 1862, which established MSU, also called for military instruction. It was at ‘Dem Hall’ that students received training for infantry, cavalry (there used to be a riding arena inside), and artillery. Its 15,725 square feet is now primarily used for:
