In what way is the product innovative?

Hestia is equipped with unique integrated handles that are a great help for citizens who need extra support and security in connection with mobilizations. In addition, the product has a width of only 55,5 cm., which allows access in tight access conditions in the home, narrow doors, etc.

Target Group and Product Utility

What user group is the product intended for and what benefit can the user get from the product?

The target group is citizens in their own homes and nursing homes, where they need a less bulky indoor rollator, due to space conditions and extra need for help when mobilizing from sitting to standing and from standing to sitting. In what way does the product support the user’s opportunity for participation and independence?

For many walker users, the mobilization from sitting to standing (and vice versa) is a challenge and potentially dangerous situation in relation to falls. The integrated erect handles help the citizen to get up and sit more securely. The upright handles are located lower than the handles of the rollator, which means that the target group can better use the arms to safely get up into an upright position (and vice versa).

Some of these users are on the verge of losing the function (getting up and down sitting) and this target group will be able to be self-reliant for longer when using the Hestia than when using a traditional rollator.

To which part of the market is the product addressed? Public as well as private citizens.

Yes, the product has been developed partly on the basis of input from the target group, who wanted a narrower rollator for clean indoor use and needed extra help/support in the form of erect handles.
