Roomie er et helt unikt multibord, tænkt og designet af sundhedspersonale til sundhedspersonale. Ideen til Roomie blev til da SOSU-sassistenten Inge brændende ønskede sig et hygiejnisk, funktionelt og æstetisk alternativ til de traditionelle sengeborde. Resultatet blev et funktionelt arbejdsredskab til personalet så vel som et hjælpemiddel til borgeren.

I processen er der taget højde for både arbejdsprocesser og fysiske behov, krydret med et tryghedsskabende og smukt design. Roomie is a unique and multifunctional table, developed and designed by health care staff for health care staff. The idea came to life when Social and health care assistant Inge needed a hygienic, highly functional and esthetic alternative to the traditional bed tables. The result is this functional work tool for both staff as well as assistive technology for patients.

Novelty Value

In what way is the product innovative? Triangular functionality. A homely look, combined with great functionality and a noise reduction design, is what makes Roomie unique. Designed and tested in close collaboration with users in the healthcare sector. The result is a multifunctional table ideal for use of citizens, patients and personal both in the care sector.

What user group is the product intended for and what benefit can the user get from the product? 1: The citizen/patient: for meals/activities in bed, chair and wheelchair. 2: Staff: moveable and ergonomic workstation for optimization of everyday routines. Eg documentation, patient care, medication etc. In what way does the product support the user’s opportunity for participation and independence? The table can get very close to the user/patient, which offers many benefits: Meals and activities in bed, chair, and wheelchair. Belongings close by. Space for two persons. Easily to adjusted in height. Easy to move around. To which part of the market is the product addressed? Primarily for nursing homes, hospices and hospitals. And elderly in their own homes. Does the product reach a broad target group? Roomie’s multifunctionality provides a wide target group. Note target groups: Staff and patients in nursing homes, hospitals, and clinics, as well as citizens in their own homes.
