8 • REVELATION TODAY Kentucky, a man told me that his Sunday School teacher told him the book of Revelation is “nothing more than a Stephen King novel tucked into the back of the Bible.” The fact is, nothing could be farther from the truth. While it is true that parts of the book of Revelation can be challenging to understand—a beast with seven heads and ten horns, a lamb with seven heads and seven eyes, plagues and seals and thunders and trumpets—the book of Revelation contains light especially calculated by God to guide His people out of the darkness of this world and into the glorious light of His eternal presence.

In this book, you’re going to discover how the Bible’s book of Revelation is practical and relevant and how God speaks in the book of Revelation to help prepare us for the most momentous events in the history of the planet. It seems forgotten by the majority of Christians that the book of Revelation is the “Revelation of Jesus Christ,” and one might think that a book that reveals Jesus is the very book we need to guide us in this sin-darkened world.
