M a x K o z lo f f , eminent art critic and historian, has written the foreword to Dolce Via. He is a pioneer of photography criticism and was the Executive Editor of Artforum magazine from 1975–76. His own photographs were published in the monograph New York Over the Top in 2013. L u igi Ba l le ri n i, distinguished Italian humanist, scholar and poet, contributed “Dialogue Of The Street Photographer and His Muse” to this volume. His Epic poem, published in 2005, and reprinted in 2012, appears in his anthology Cefalonia 43 e altre poesie. Ch a rle s H . Tra u b has been a photographer for almost fifty years; his work is widely exhibited internationally. He is founder and chair of the MFA Photography, Video and Related Media program at the School of Visual Arts. He is represented by the Gitterman Gallery of New York. Books by Traub include Beach, In The Still Life, The Education of a Photographer and Italy Observed in Photography and Literature.
