Potters Bar neighbours A new temporary exhibition ‘They all live around here’ at Potters Bar Museum celebrates notable residents of the town.

The exhibition, which opened on the 21 February and runs until mid August, includes fourteen short biographies of people who have lived in Potters Bar from author Dame Barbara Cartland to Sir Nigel Gresley, locomotive designer. Councillor Brenda Batten, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Culture and Health: “The exhibition is a really interesting look into Potters Bar’s famous or interesting residents. It starts with the first Earl of Essex, Geoffrey de Mandeville in the 12th Century and concludes with still living residents, Jazz

“As well as the exhibition, the museum also contains many items from other sites in and around Potters Bar, from the motte-and-bailey castle at South Mimms, which lay unrecognised for many years. Some natural history items are also on display, as well as parts of a Zeppelin, which crashed in Potters Bar in 1916.” The museum is located at the Wyllyotts
