Annual Fund 2012 -13

What is the Crusade for Muskegon Catholic Central?

Why is it necessary to raise this money? The Crusade for Muskegon Catholic Central Annual Fund provides the additional funding that makes the difference between a good school and great school by providing the enhancements and special programs that set us apart from other schools. MCC is financially sound. We pay all our bills with tuition, scholarships, and the financial support of the area parishes. The five-year Morse Challenge grants left us with a strong scholarship fund. However, the basis of the great education that MCC provides includes advantages such as the updated networking infrastructure and 1:1 technology, and current programs such as Career Cruising educational development plans, the Measures of Academic Progress, Plan and Explore testing programs, Meal Magic, Accelerated Reading and Accelerated Math, and many more. Strategic Plan initiatives require funding to continue educational improvements. The Crusade for MCC fills the budget gap between basic operating expenses and these programs.

Who is asked for a gift to the Crusade for Muskegon Catholic Central? Everyone in the Muskegon Catholic Central family – alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of the school – is asked to join the Crusade for Muskegon Catholic Central. Each of you makes a difference in the success of this annual fund drive.

The Crusade for Muskegon Catholic Central is an annual fund drive to provide funding for the advantages of an MCC education.

The Crusade for Muskegon Catholic Central Annual Fund:

• is in its first year

• has a goal of $1 million

• is led by a team of more than 25 volunteers from all areas of MCC

• is poised to raise unrestricted funds to be spent this school year, providing immediate benefits to all MCC students

What are the advantages of an MCC education? MCC is a great school which offers a collegeprep education in a Christian environment. Ninety-eight percent of graduates are accepted at one or more colleges. Our ACT scores consistently meet or outrank state and local schools. It takes more than tuition payments from hard-working families, scholarships from generous donors, and grants from our local parishes to support these programs.

I already attend the Rainbow Auction or the Golf Outing. Does this count as a contribution to the Crusade for MCC? The Rainbow Auction and the Golf Outing are integral parts of MCC’s financial support and are projected to contribute $200,000 to the total fiscal needs for this school year. All donations to the Crusade for Muskegon Catholic Central Fund go toward raising the additional $1 million needed to sustain excellence at MCC.

How much am I expected to give to the Crusade for MCC? Each gift supports the current year’s programs. We hope each family and friend will find a way to participate according to their means. Each and every gift is appreciated.

What is the financial goal of the 2012 -13 Crusade for Muskegon Catholic Central? A total of $1.2 million is needed to meet this year’s expenses including strategic plan needs. The goal for the Crusade for Muskegon Catholic Central is $1 million with the remaining $200,000 to be raised through the Rainbow Auction and the Crusader Golf Outing.
