• Very vigorous root and top growth and due to its allopathy, it is a very strong seed suppressor which makes it perfect for grazing. Preliminary trials suggest moderate, early fall grazing does not impact yields.

RETAIL TERMS

PACKAGING OPTIONS: Corn and cover crop seed may be available in mini bulk bags. To have your seed packaged in mini bulk bags, seed needs to be ordered by DECEMBER 31.

ORDERING SEED: Call or email Dakota’s Best Seed to place your seed order and to determine availability of seed requested.

PAYMENT TERMS: Checks will be accepted for payment or credit cards with a 3% surcharge. Payment must be made before shipment.

SHIPPING FEES: We will work together with you to determine the best and most economical shipping method. Shipping cost will be charged at carrier rate.

REPLANT POLICY: Early season crop loss on corn, alfalfa, or sorghum may be eligible for replant seed. We will provide replant seed of the same species, in the year of issue, at a 50% discounted rate of the full retail price. Seed variety may or may not be the same as thee first planting. Best available seed will be used when applicable.

Exception: Spring planted alfalfa, April 1st through June 1st and fall planted seeds August 15 through September 15th will be eligible for replant guarantee. Any alfalfa seed planted outside of these planting windows will not be eligible.

Any replant claims must be verified and approved by Dakota’s Best Seed. Please contact us as soon as issue arises.

Shipping of replant seed will be billed at carrier rate.

**SEED CORN TREATMENT: Several varieties of conventional seed corn are listed as available untreated by pre-order. Pre-orders for untreated conventional corn seed must be placed by NOVEMBER 30 or call to see if we have any available in inventory after November 30.

RETURN POLICY: Spring seeded species may be returned until June 30 or 30 days from the date of invoice whichever is greater. For fall seeded crops 30 days from date of invoice. No returns after these dates.

We will not accept returns of discounted varieties, custom mixes, grasses or grains of any kind. We will not accept returns of opened, broken, or dirty bags.

The cost of returning seed to our warehouse in Platte, SD will be at buyers expense.

The value of any seed accepted for return will be credited to your account for future purchases. This credit can be used on any seed we offer and credit will never expire.

DB42-04-OR will bring you an excellent grain yield excelling in higher yield environments. DB40-08-OR has a long-proven track record of high yields with good TWT and grain quality. Excellent on light soil types even sandy soils. Very good plant health and planted widely across the corn belt performance will be good moving West to East. Performs at a high level both on irrigated and tough dryland conditions. Supplies are limited.

DB41-10-OR has a good overall performance record from the Western to the Eastern corn belt. Solid performance with very good stalk and root strength. A big wide leaf robust plant style brings good dual-purpose potential. Very good emergence and early vigor. TWT and grain quality are good.

TT (tar spot tolerance) = Hybrids that have shown a Tar Spot Tolerance rated at the top of hybrids tested. DR (drought ready) = Hybrids that have shown a higher resistance to drought conditions.
