First, as a 4-H’er struggling to compete with the many elite cattle that were shown every year at the West Ottertail County Fair in my home town of Fergus Falls, MN. To the past few years of having the opportunity to work with people and make the kind of cows that it takes to be successful in this business. My belief is that if we are going to have cows, we may as well have good ones and help or encourage anyone else that wants to have good dairy cows. At this sale there are will be many chances to get that special calf, heifer, or cow to achieve whatever level of success you pursue. The selectors looked for cattle that can benefit anyone’s breeding program. We at North Stars Genetics started our breeding program with a sincere effort of trying to make as many great cows as possible. Cows that can milk, produce multiple calves, score well in classification, and maybe compete at any level of the show-ring.
