Wage Revision of Port & Dock Workers, begins in 1st Meeting to be held on 29th May in Mumbai

GANDHIDHAM: The employees & workers of 11 Major Ports of India are due to get their wage revision w.e.f. 01.01.2022, but, this issue was pending with Office of the Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), New Delhi without any outcome and ultimately the matter has been considered by the Indian Ports Association and this meeting will be chaired by Shri Rajiv Jalota, IAS who is Chairman of Mumbai Port

The IPA has invited all the six Federations including Indian National Ports & Dock Workers Federation – INTUC to attend the Wage Revision Meeting scheduled for 29.05.2023 at Mumbai. The Federation has already started to prepare their agenda for this meeting and they have taken a core issue of comparing the Class III employees with Class II Officers as there is vast difference in total emolument due to 42% cafeteria which is being paid to Officer categories.

Shri Mohan K. Aswani, General Secretary of Indian National Ports & Dock Workers Federation will participate and represented in above meeting as stated by Shri Shyammurty Kundu, Sr. Vice President of Kandla Port KarmachariSangh.
