MAYBELLINE TURNS 100 To celebrate Maybelline New York’s 100th anniversary, nothing less than a blowout bash would do. The brand took over the IAC Building to both reminisce about its storied history and toast the strong women who make it all happen. Faces Gigi Hadid, Jourdan Dunn, and Emily DiDonato took in a DJ set by the Misshapes while Maybelline New York president David Greenberg unveiled a new philanthropic effort, donating $100,000 to the Girl Project, Glamour magazine’s collaboration with nonprofits to raise funds for young women’s education. “We’re celebrating a pretty monumental occasion, and it makes me so happy to see so many friends and colleagues from the industry all coming together to help us celebrate,” Greenberg said. “The best thing about 100 years is it makes me feel incredibly young. Compared to Maybelline, I’m a baby!”

Maybelline New York’s David Greenberg and Anne Marie Nelson-Bogle present a check to Glamour’s Cindi Leive and Zenia Colon, an 11th-grader from Wilmington, Delaware, who has benefitted from the Girl Project’s services.

MINIMAL APPROACH! With Gigi Hadid

CHOOSING FAVORITES! With Jaimie Alexander

What was your first experience with makeup? I grew up watching my mom do her makeup. She never wore that much, so I think I learned and appreciated from a young age that less is more. I never overdid it! What’s your favorite Maybelline product? I love The Nudes palette eye shadow. I haven’t found any other product like it—a compact that has all of the colors I actually want to use. I don’t really wear a lot of bright makeup—I like neutral shades. What do you think makeup will be like in 100 years? You’ll probably put your face in a tube, press a button, and walk away looking like Beyoncé!

What’s your favorite Maybelline product? Great Lash! I know it sounds cliché, but I’ve used it since I was 15 years old. What do you love about makeup? Makeup is one of the most incredible ways for an actress to become a character. On my new show, Blind Spot, I wear seven and a half hours’ worth of temporary tattoos.

LASHING OUT! With Cindi Leive What was your first experience with makeup? Gigi Hadid and Like all women, I stole things out of my mother’s cabinet, but that wasn’t Jourdan Dunn very fruitful because my mother was a complete makeup phobe. What’s your favorite Maybelline product? Great Lash, duh! What do you think makeup will be like in 100 years? Forget 100 years! I think in three years we’re going to be printing out of our 3-D printers, right? I think men will start wearing it in all kinds of different ways, and coming up with ways to create your own makeup will also be a thing. It’ll be interesting to see how beauty companies help women do that. What are you looking forward to this summer? There’s going to be this magical two-week period where for the first time both of my kids are in sleep-away camp, so I get to have a conversation with my husband! Shocking, right?

KEEPING ROUTINES! With Jourdan Dunn What was your first experience with makeup? I was always invading my mom’s makeup bag, and I was always struck by the pink and green Great Lash mascara. That was my first introduction to makeup. Is that something you still wear today? Oh, yes! It’s a great mascara. What is your beauty routine? It’s quite intense. I do a 10-step skin regime every morning and evening. It’s Maybelline’s 100th anniversary. What do you want to be doing at 100? I want to still be enjoying life.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE! With Toni Garrn What do you want to be remembered for in 100 years? I would like to be remembered as someone who did something for women’s empowerment. I’m working with a charity called Plan International, and we’ve been working to educate 700 girls at a school in Burkina Faso in West Africa. Which beauty product do you always wear? Mascara, always! Tonight, it’s the only thing I’m wearing.
