s part of its community engagement projects, Gorogang Plant Hire, a company contracted by the Roads Agency Limpopo (RAL) to upgrade road D4370 in the Sekhukhune District from gravel to tar, has successfully hosted a top 8 soccer tournament at Mathukuthela village. The gesture has been lauded by the community for keeping the youth off the streets. The 22.5km road serves a total of 11 villages between Mogaladi and Phokwane in the Makhuduthamaga and Ephraim Mogale Local Municipalities and is currently 87% complete, with about 15km now operational. Layton Matlala, said that the tournament was a way of thanking the community for their support on the road project. He highlighted that working on the project was not easy, however, the community has demonstrated impressive support towards them as a team. “Although we have not yet completed the project, we felt that since we have been here for some time now, we should do something for the communities around this area. I am very happy that the communities have given us so much support,” Matlala appreciated.
