YIELDS RESULTS
s part of its continuous support to empower the current cohort of interns and experiential trainees, Roads Agency Limpopo (RAL) held a follow-up session to assess the trainees’ progress with respect to the on-the-job training they are currently undertaking. The session entailed all 22 interns and six experiential trainees giving presentations on what they have learned to date. Pertinent to the presentations was highlighting the areas of improvement to ensure that upon completion of their training, the entity would have imparted the necessary and relevant skills to boost their career prospects. was recruited in June 2021 on a 24 month contract. According to the Executive Manager of Corporate Services, Ms Modile Boshielo, the purpose of the session was to determine the current understanding of the trainees’ respective trades, after which the Agency can recommend additional support intervention programmes, where necessary, to assist in advancing their careers. “As RAL, we intend to produce the best talent for the labour market in South Africa and beyond,” she further stated. Ms Mantepa Mothapo, an intern in the Company Secretariat division, highlighted that the internship programme has provided her with an opportunity to acquaint herself with the
