A QUEST TO INTENSIFY JOB CREATION EFFORTS POST COVID 19

s one of the entities that play a crucial role in creating job opportunities through the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), Roads Agency Limpopo (RAL) recently participated in the programme’s 4th summit. Organised by the Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure (LDPWRI), the summit discussed and developed new strategies and avenues to increase temporary job opportunities created through government infrastructure development programmes. This year’s summit convened under the theme “Contexualising the Role of EPWP in Economic Recovery Post COVID-19 Pandemic” which informed participants

that the discussions should focus on the economic recovery role the programme could play. Attending the session were government representatives from national, provincial, as well as local spheres. The
