reminders: If you are a senior interested in purchasing a stole, this is a reminder to make sure to make the payment by April 24th! They are $27 dollars and you must have been approved to wear one. If you have a blue stole from a family or friend, you may wear it. However, you cannot wear a blue one. Also, officer applications are due right around the corner, so get started on them!

"I painted cardboard boxes for little kids to wear during the parade. It was a great experience for me to interact with other people who also love art. There was a woman who paid for our drinks in line because we were volunteers and that inspired me to return the good deed by buying the little boy behind me ice cream, since his had fell to the ground. Laura Lemus

"At this event, I told people where the exit was, to the left. I liked seeing the smiles on people's faces as I gave them a helpful reminder. It was such a small task but it made me feel appreciated. It made me feel happier because I made other people happy. My favorite moment was random people coming up to me and talking about different artists. I think this event will impact the community by fostering a greater appreciation for the arts." Yannick Mofor

"At this event we tried to spend quality time with the elderly. This included many rounds of bingo and prizes won. We also tried cracking jokes and chatting with the elderly. Lastly, we had a surprise show from Yannick! I really liked how everyone was so welcoming in the home. I also liked how the home felt and was designed to model an actual home. There was a kitchen, living room with games, dining room, and bedrooms all throughout. This event impacted me because I know I made a difference in the lives of the elderly. When you get to that age all you want is someone to visit and spend time with you, and I was glad to be that person. It was saddening when the doorbell would ring and everyone would turn and look at the door saying to one of the workers that we have a visitor. They all hoped someone came to visit them, so I was happy to be able to be that person for them. My favorite moment at the event was when we played bingo. I sat with Mr. Charles and we became good friends. We won a majority of the rounds and we were bonding over our wins. Overall, I really enjoyed conversations with Mr. Charles and I’m glad I made a friend." Krisha Khosla

history month Women's history month is from March 1 to March 31 and is dedicated to celebrating the contributions of brave and intellectual women of the past and present. Many freedoms and conveniences would not exist today if not for the courageous and strong women of the past. From scientists, artists, politicians, and actresses, during women's history month we can celebrate their contributions that have given many of us the amenities and freedoms we have today. We can give women the recognition they deserve and inspire the young women of our future generations by showing them that they too can make a mark.

Key Club supports Children's Miracle Network Hospitals by having members work together to sponsor fundraising events and conduct service projects at local hospitals. Cy-Ridge often helps out at Texas Children's Hospital.

Over 663 million people on earth do not have access to safe, clean, drinking water. Key Club works with the Thirst Project to help end the global crisis for water with the Thirst 30 fundraiser.

Key Club organizations across the country have worked to raise money for the March of Dimes since 1978. After decades of strong partnership, Key Club International and the March of Dimes continue to innovate new awareness and fundraising activities which students participate in alongside joining their local March for Babies.
