Manifesto for Position of Ents Rep
Hello! My name is Maddie, I’m a first year Classicist and running for the position of Ents Rep.
Throughout last term, I’ve really enjoyed attending the bops and I think that they are a great way to meet new people, particularly the “Alphabet Bop” at the start of last term and I am keen to help in this year’s bops and maintain the great standard set.
I think I would be suited to the position of an Ents Rep, as I am an approachable, organised and enthusiastic person and love nothing more than planning and putting on events from “Pudding Parties” to last minute Birthday Celebrations. In the past, I have had the job of organising various events from local gigs and dinner parties to charity functions and fundraising and would love to carry on with this aspect of my life at university. I think that Sidney, in particular, has a great system of holding a bop every two weeks and therefore I believe that it’s important that we make these bops a time for people to take a break from working, socialise and really let loose! I feel that Sidney is a really approachable, easy-going and fun college and that we should reflect this in the bops we put on. If elected, I would be eager to hear about any ideas you have about possible bops and also keen to explore how other colleges organise their bops.
I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity of helping out at the last two Sidney bops and would love to continue this in the future, so please vote for me!
