Local woman featured in WSU art show

One of her teachers states that she listens with courtesy, takes a lively interest in the world around her and uses reason rather than emotion to arrive at positions on issues. Once she has made up her mind, though, she is convinced and very convincing. Her intelligence and self-confidence make her a natural leader, and she excels at using resources and persuasion to problem-solve. She is also a DECA officer and qualified for state DECA competition. She helps in the Lunch Box when needed and has been a great mentor to younger students. Thanks Ashley!

Camas students earn dean’s list honors Several local students were named to the Seattle Pacific University autumn quarter dean’s list. To be named to the list, students must earn at least a 3.5 GPA and complete 12 graded credits.

They include: Olivia Christine Clements, Martin Jensen Horn, Jason David Jay, Natalie Skye Longley, Rachel Elizabeth Stenberg and William Gale VanCuren, all of Camas.

Cole named to dean’s list Athena Cole of Camas has been named to the dean’s list at Cornell University for the fall 2011 semester. She was awarded with “excellence in scholarship” for the college of arts and sciences.

Local student graduates from Concordia Molly Sien of Camas has earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Concordia University. She graduated in December 2011.
