thumbs up to Julianna and Friends at Worldly Treasures garage sale raising 1,200 for Focus Cambodia Inc, to aid the poor after flooding wiped out 70% of rice crops.
thumbs up to a young boy who tried to help his neighbour catch her dogs after they got out. He managed to catch one, but sadly took a nip on the hand from the other so decided to let it’s owner catch that one. He was worried they would run into the path of a passing car. Mum is very proud of you for trying to help a stranger and caring about the animals.
A close shave for Cudal Bowling Club A very successful fundraiser for Children’s Cancer research concluded at the Cudal Bowling Club on Saturday 29th October with local man Steve Smith shaving off many years of hair and beard growth. Steve raised $1675.00 at his work thanks to his workmates and Murray Horstman’s contribution, also with Don Bevan from ‘Activenergy’ matching anything over $1000.00 resulting in a substantial sum of $2350.00. Steve’s efforts on the day were joined by Ben Gosper, Jamie Bevan and Pete Ford, who all donated their hair for this worthy cause and raising another $900 at the club, a final total of $3250.00. What are great effort boys! We must also thank our local hairdresser Tania who donated her time to tidy up the boys heads and make them look respectful.

Skye & Daniel engaged! Brett and Vicki Peters of Orange and Clergate would like to announce the engagement of their daughter Skye to Daniel, the son of Tom and Sue Ostini of Ophir. Daniel proposed to Skye on their 8 year anniversary in August. Skye was very surprised to see a helicopter landing in the paddock of their property at Mullion Creek. As the helicopter was landing Daniel dropped to one knee and popped the question. The helicopter took them over Orange and then dropped them to Duntry League Golf Club for dinner. After dinner a limousine picked them up where they cruised around Orange while enjoying some champagne. The couple plan to marry in February 2012.

Congratulations Laura! Laura Ozols of Orange recently graduated from Tabor Christian College in Adelaide with a Degree in Christian life and Ministry. Her Grandparents travelled from Orange to Adelaide to be there with her.
