THE HISTORY OF HUMMUS Hummus has been around for a reeeeeealy long time. Turns out people have been cultivating chickpeas (the main ingredient in hummus) for thousands of years. In fact, one of the first recipes for hummus appeared in a 13th-century Egyptian cookbook. Which means we’ve had plenty of time to get it right.
NEW TO DIPPING? HUMMUS GARLIC BREAD
Don’t be embarrassed; you were new to gardening once, too. Dipping with Sabra Hummus is fun, and like all worthwhile pursuits gets better with time. Read this simple guide to master the fundamentals of dipping, and in 3 to 5 ½ minutes you’ll be dipping like a pro.
WHAT IS DIPPING? Only one of the greatest things you’ll ever do. Dipping is as fun as naming a puppy and more satisfying than finding a $20 bill in an old pair of jeans. The act of dipping consists of taking an item of food and dipping it into smooth, tasty Sabra Hummus. The act also includes putting the food into your mouth, chewing, and enjoying…you may have tried this before.
WHO SHOULD I DIP WITH? There’s no wrong answer to this question. The truth is you can dip alone, you can dip with a friend, you can even dip with a stranger if you’re so bold. Hummus was created to be enjoyed. So get out there and start dipping. It’s as simple as that.

LESSON 1: JUST ADD HUMMUS WHAT TO DIP IN SABRA HUMMUS It’s a good question. No, it’s a great question. Because the list of things you can dip in Sabra Hummus is longer than the Great Wall of China, and twice as tasty. Here’s a few things you can get started with: carrots, celery, pita chips, chicken wings, shish-kebobs, shrimp, broccoli, and crackers. Obviously this is just a few of the many things you can dip in Sabra Hummus. You can also spread Sabra Hummus on sandwiches, wraps, and anything tasty you want to make tastier. It might just blow your mind thinking of all the things Sabra Hummus can make tastier. Consider yourself warned.
THE MANY FLAVORS OF SABRA HUMMUS
In addition to all the wonderful things you can dip in Sabra Hummus, there are many kinds of wonderful Sabra Hummus. There are 14 varieties so far, but that list is constantly growing. So what are you waiting for? That Pita Chip won’t dip itself in that bowl of Roasted Red Pepper Hummus. Alright, this is it. Choose your flavor, and dip away.
LESSON 2: NO WRONG WAY TO DIP There’s really no wrong way to dip into Sabra Hummus, but there is a certain code that all good dippers abide by. So before you commit your next dipping faux pas, read on.
THE DOUBLE DIP The infamous double dip. Do it right and the glory is yours, do it wrong and it might be the last time you show your face at the Henderson’s 4th of July barbeque. That having been said, there are no hard and fast rules to dipping, merely suggestions, here’s one most can agree on: When ready for a second dip, be considerate of those around you, and flip your dipper around toan uneaten side before you go back in.
THE BROKEN CHIP There are few things more dispiriting than a broken chip. Even though Sabra Hummus is smooth and creamy, we can’t control the dippability of every chip that gets dipped. But there is hope. Here’s a tip that will never let you down: Simply use another chip to retrieve the broken piece. Your fellow dippers will appreciate the gesture.
THE DIP & SPREAD Dipping doesn’t always end at dipping. Sometimes, as in the case of sandwiches and wraps, you can dip a knife into Sabra Hummus, and then use the knife to carefully spread some of that deliciousness onto the sandwich or wrap of your choosing. This is known as the Dip & Spread, others simply call it a good time.
MIXING IT UP Some people keep their hummus toppings intact, scooping out a little at a time; others like to mix it all in right from the start. Whether you’re a straight scooper or a manic mixer, it’s all good with us. At the end of the day, as long as it ends up in your mouth, everyone wins.
