CONTENTS ABOUT THE AUTHOR Timothy Peterson is the founder of Cane Island Alternative Advisors. With 30 years in institutional investment management, he is a published author with expertise in alternative assets, including cryptocurrency investment and valuation. Timothy authored the very popular “Metcalfe’s Law as a Model for Bitcoin’s Value,” which was the first peer-reviewed publication on how to value Bitcoin with Metcalfe’s Law. Based on downloads, his cryptocurrency research ranks in the top 0.05% of over 800,000 authors on SSRN. He has also written a book “Performance Measurement for Alternative Investments” (Risk Books: 2015) and has spoken at conferences around the world on various investment topics. He is a dual graduate of the University of Colorado with a Master of Science Degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and has also completed the Harvard JFK School of Government course on Investment Decisions and Behavioral Finance.
