Every year we have the privilege of gifting our kindergarteners and third graders a bible of their own. If you know of a kindergartener or third grader who has not received any information about this, please be in touch with Anna Thomas (athomas@ centenary-ws.org/ext 1332). Families can choose between the 9 am or 11 am worship service and registration closes Wednesday, September 6.
WORSHIP LEADER CELEBRATION
SEPTEMBER 10 • NOON – 1:30 PM
4th – 12th graders, with at least one adult, are invited to enjoy a pizza lunch together while we celebrate all our Torchbearers and Crucifers. We will spend time learning and being reminded of what it looks like to serve in these roles and why they are so important to our worship service. If you have not received an invitation in the mail with the RSVP information, please reach out to Anna Thomas (athomas@centenary-ws.org/ext 1332). If you cannot attend but are still interested in being a torchbearer or crucifer, please still fill out the RSVP so we can collect updated contact information.
WORSHIP BAGS
You may have noticed the bright new worship bags when you come to church! These are located in the Reception Narthex, the Sanctuary Narthex, and outside of the Sanctuary on the east side in the stairwell. We create and offer these with children in mind – we know it’s hard to sit still so we wanted to give them tools to help them engage in the service and things to do with their hands while they listen. At the end of each service, we ask that you return the bags to one of the three stands around the church so they can be refreshed for the next week.

Stephen Ministers are trained to provide care for those who are hurting or grieving through a one-on-one relationship. A Stephen Minister is a caring presence to provide emotional and spiritual support. “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

SAMARITAN MINISTRIES
Centenary has partnered with Samaritan Ministries to volunteer for their Dinner shifts from 4-7:30 pm every Sunday during the months of September and November. Each shift needs three volunteers, so ask a few friends to join you for a fun filled afternoon of volunteering at Samaritan!
