our story
We’re a family of five, on a mission to help feed children in need. As parents, we believe all children should have enough food to eat and the opportunity to thrive, so when we saw a documentary on the devastating impact of childhood hunger on millions of children around the world, it inspired us to help. On that day, we decided to start a company whose purpose is to help improve the lives of children and to make a difference. Everything we do at cuddle+kind is a reflection of our values. For every doll sold, we give 10 meals to children in need. Our goal is to provide one million meals a year. We’re proud that our heirloom quality dolls are made with natural, premium cotton yarn and that every single one is lovingly handcrafted by incredible women artisans in Peru, providing them with a sustainable, fair trade income.

The meals our dolls provide are donated in
66 countries around the world. Our giving partners ensure that your purchases provide aid where it’s needed most.
CANADA Over one million Canadian children live in food insecure households. One in five are at risk of starting the school day on an empty stomach. Our dolls help provide children with a nutritious breakfast, giving them the energy to learn.
USA In the US, over 16 million children live in food insecure households. Your purchases help provide meals through local food banks and nutritious Food Paks to families with children who are facing hunger regularly or for the first time.
PERU 60 children in Abancay, Peru receive school meals five days a week. It’s so meaningful to us to give back in the country where our dolls are handmade.

WORLDWIDE In 60 countries across the world, your purchases help feed children nutritious lunches in school. School meals have proven to increase attendance, improve performance and allow more girls to receive an education in poverty stricken areas.
K E N YA cuddle+kind provides school meals to over 7,000 children at 10 schools in Kenya, and supports an incredible school gardens program that provides fruits and vegetables for those meals.
HAITI In Haiti, cuddle+kind provides all the food needed to feed 150 children in three orphanages: The Shekina and Delmas 31 Orphanages in Port au Prince and Cap Haitian Orphanage in Cap Haitan.

This means that we are committed to paying our artisans fairly and equitably for their work which allows them to care for their families and plan for their futures.
