Inés Vachez

Inés Vachez (Guadalajara 1994) is an urban researcher, writer and photographer. She holds a master's degree in Typologies from the Technische Universität Berlin and a bachelor's degree in architecture from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente ITESO. Her research projects, exhibitions, and urban interventions oscillate between gender and public space, forced migration, gentrification, and collective memory. She has lectured at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia UPV, the Universidad de Buenos Aires UBA, and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México UNAM. In 2021 she founded the urban research, visual anthropology, and publishing project Analog Typologies, whose publications can be found in several cities in the US, India, Latin America, and Europe. In 2022 she was awarded the Programa de Estímulo a la Creación y Desarrollo Artístico PECDA grant for the publication of her first book: Arquitectura de Remesas: La transformación de un pueblo mexicano (Arquitónica & Analog Typologies, 2023).
