WHO IS TERPENE WAREHOUSE?

We started in Heidelberg, Germany as an aromatherapy and skincare company, Clear Gold GMBH in the early days of CBD, 2015-2017. With the help of veteran aromatherapists (that had been working with Europe’s compound pharmacists to create herbal alternatives for common ailments), we were able to easily transition those same principles to the evergrowing cannabis and hemp industry. In 2017, a year after cannabis restrictions began loosening up for recreational use in California, we began applying our practice to the burgeoning cannabis vape market, by formulating terpene blends for the local market in Orange County. With our background in aromatherapy, we were already privy to a much wider array of compounds that contribute to a plant’s medicinal benefit, aroma, and flavor, than the cannabis industry was even ready for.

In 2018, after honing in our craft, we introduced Terpene Warehouse at our first tradeshow, MJ Biz, and we’ve been growing and expanding ever since. This year, 2023, we will be opening our brand new 6300sqft manufacturing facility in Costa Mesa, California, and expanding our European presence from our office just outside of Frankfurt, DE.

BENEFITS OF TERPENES?

Terpenes are responsible for providing plants with their aromatic profiles. They are considered psychoactive molecules because they interact with the chemistry in the brain but are non-intoxicating on their own. Terpenes act indirectly (apart from caryophyllene) on the ECS and directly with other systems like neurotransmitters and hormones. Some terpenes increase the assimilation of other cannabinoids while others affect the flow of dopamine and serotonin. This synergy between terpenes and cannabinoids is the influential force that determines the effects of hemp & marijuana products on the user, also known as the entourage effect.
