YES, if you know that you will never stop learning. Every minute of everyday you are learning if you’re doing something out of your comfort zone. By doing this you will push your limits wider and broader. DO KNOW YOU WILL CONTINUE TO LEARN! NO, if you feel you know all there is to learn about what you’re setting out for yourself, this is a closed mind approach and is limited to any action that required to be taken. DON’T THINK YOU KNOW ALL THERE IS TO KNOW!

YES, if you draw up a schedule for you to plan your daily actions, being organised means you can achieve more in a day because you’ve planned what tasks need doing without delaying or pondering what to do next. DO DRAW UP AND WORK TO A SCHEDULE.

NO, if you’re dealing with tasks ‘willy-nilly’ without some sort of structure, this will clutter your mind with lots of tasks and you will not be able to think as clearly as you would with a schedule. DON’T OVERWHELM YOURSELF WITH TASKS ALL AT ONCE.

YES, if you adapt to change, the world we live in is constantly changing and evolving into better and brighter things. Remaining in your set ways that you’ve been doing for years is a hard thing to change, but an entrepreneur will adapt to new ways and thinking. DO ACCEPT THINGS CHANGE, THEREFORE SO SHOULD YOU. NO, if you are set in old ways of doing things that will eventually become obsolete, an entrepreneur doesn’t have a ‘if it aint broke, don’t fix it’ attitude, he or she will innovate or find better ways of doing things. DON’T BE SCARED TO ADHERE TO NEW CHANGES.

YES, if you live in the present and plan for the future; concentrate on what is going on now, the only time to take action is now, whether that’s planning what action to take or the action itself, now is the time. DO LIVE IN THE NOW. TAKE ACTION NOW! NO, if you’re living in the past bringing up past events to the forefront of your mind and you feel you are the result of what has happened in the past. Shift your mindset away from this and know that you are always changing and learning. DON’T LIVE IN THE PAST, YOU WILL NOT PROGRESS IF YOU DO!

Am I an Entrepreneur #5

YES, if you’re taking constant action on your plans. Get to work on what you set out to do, take the plunge and learn from what results you get. DO TAKE ACTION! NO, if you’re just talking about what you want to do – stop going on about it and DO IT! Stop putting it off for another day – take the action now remember?! DON’T BLEAT ON ABOUT YOUR PLANS TO YOURSELF!

YES, if you accept that failure is part of the learning process and that you are learning from failed attempts. How else will you grow? DO KNOW YOU WILL AT SOME POINT FAIL AT SOMETHING. NO, if you allow your failed attempts to own you, being disenchanted with failure will ultimately allow failure to win and you will give up. Entrepreneurs never give up, ever. Remember ‘quitters never win and winners never quit’. DON’T ALLOW FAILURE TO HALT YOUR PROGRESS.

YES, if you take responsibility and know that failure can happen, just fail fast and fail forward, don’t dwell on it, find the route cause of what happened and take it as a business lesson learnt and prevent it happening again and again. DO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. NO, if you find things to blame the mistakes or bad results on. Take ownership of the situation and realise it was YOU and learn from it. DON’T MAKE EXCUSES.

YES, if you concentrate on providing value to your prospects and customers, otherwise they will see you only want their money which obviously puts them off your services or products. DO PROVIDE VALUE TO PEOPLE’S LIVES OR BUSINESSES. NO, if you only concentrate on the money, this becomes obvious to prospects and customers therefore they will lose interest in your company, nobody likes a salesman/women right? Desperation is what will be seen and isn’t the way to do business. DON’T CONCENTRATE ON THE MONEY!

am I an entrepreneur

YES, if you are supportive of others, even if they’re your competitors. You can learn from other people’s or other business’ success. This will be seen that you are ethical and of a positive nature, positives attract positives and that’s who you want to do business with because it’s more pleasurable right? DO SUPPORT OTHERS. NO, if you are jealous. You’d be sidetracked by other people’s or business’ success therefore your own success will suffer from lack of progress. DON’T BE JEALOUS!

YES, if you surround yourself with positive people. This can be quite difficult because you may be surrounding yourself with people that you’ve known for a long time and you class as your friends. But unfortunately these very people may have a negative influence on you. Making new friends is easy, especially when they’re positive. DO MAKE NEW POSITIVE FRIENDS! NO, if you allow negative people to rub off their negativity on you. You could overlook a fantastic opportunity when you see the glass half empty. DON’T SEE THE GLASS HALF EMPTY, SEE IT HALF FULL!

Easy Peasy? I’m not saying of this is easy, but we want to challenge ourselves don’t we? That’s the whole idea of progression. See challenges as an opportunity to learn.
