works in conjunction with South Carolina Sports Medicine. This group of highly talented and trusted physicians has been serving the Charleston area for the past 15 years. Dr. Joseph Calandra, Dr. Gary Windler, Dr. Seth Kupferman, Dr. James Dalton, Dr. William Wilson, Dr. Jon DeVries, and Dr. Eric Stem, along with Physician Assistants Michael Byers and Christopher Schafer, work directly with the Charleston Southern Athletic Training staff to provide the highest quality orthopedic care for our student-athletes. Charleston Southern also works directly with Dr. Brian Keller, family practitioner, and Dr. Michael Engel as team dentist. The athletic training staff at Charleston Southern consists of five Certified Athletic Trainers. Toby Harkins has served as Head Athletic Trainer and Assistant Athletic Director for Medical Services at CSU since 2005. Tuesday Patterson (Erskine) and Tadd Turnquist (UW-Eau Clarie) return for three years of service, while Brad Drake (Prebyterian) and Erin Weaver (Valdosta State) start thier second year to complete the athletic training staff and provide daily healthcare services to all CSU student-athletes. he Athletic Training Program at Charleston Southern University strives to provide comprehensive athletic training services to almost 300 Division I student-athletes, participating in 16 varsity sports. Athletic training services include the recognition, treatment, rehabilitation, education, and prevention of injuries that occur during intercollegiate athletic competition. The Charleston Southern University Athletic Training Center is located inside the CSU Field House.
