We hope that you’ll enjoy this guide as it helps you to reflect about your transition from student to alum, and your future relationship with your University. As alumni, we have an important role to play ensuring that our current and future students receive the same Beach experience we did‌and more! What we have today and what we have tomorrow is in your hands now. I would like to invite you to remain actively involved. Alums return to campus for a variety of events, become active in the Alumni Association, and contribute to the Beach Fund. Most importantly, we are advocates for CSULB and the public University as vital components to the future of California. The CSULB Alumni Association is now your lifeline to keeping connected with your University, your classmates, and your academic history. We always want you to proudly say...this is my Beach.

With Beach Pride,

Support the Beach Why should I participate in the Senior Class Giving Program? 6

Senior Class Giving is your first opportunity to join a tradition of giving back to CSULB via the Beach Fund. Tuition covers less than a quarter of the actual cost to educate each student. So even though we paid tuition, more than 10,000 alumni were bridging the gap and supporting our educational experience at The Beach. Now it is our turn to empower the next generation of CSULB students. Our contributions to Beach Fund enhance state support and student fees, while providing much needed funds for the President and Deans to implement efforts focused on technology, faculty development and curriculum support. Participating in Senior Class Giving also benefits us because it helps to maintain and increase our national ranking, which in turn makes us better candidates for graduate schools and employers.

Beach Pride and Tradition Package:

There is no better way to stay connected and to say "thank you" to The Beach.

What is the Beach Pride and Tradition Package? It is a fast and easy way to show your pride for CSULB! For just $99 dollars, you will get your CSULB Alumni Association membership as well as a $50 contribution in your name to the Senior Class Giving Program!

Are there any incentives for purchasing a Beach Pride and Tradition Package now? Yes! By taking the step to purchase your Beach Pride and Tradition Package before June 30, 2012; not only will you get the CSULB Alumni Association commemorative license plate frame, but you will also receive a special keepsake graduation cord which will adorn your gown at Commencement. This way, when you walk on the stage, everyone will know who took the step to support their senior class and University! In addition, your name will be added to the myBeach Senior Class Honor Roll displaying your dedication and support— Please visit www.csulb.edu/mybeach and see the list grow. In our efforts to keep you connected to The Beach you will also receive a complimentary ticket to the Recent Alumni Mixer on June 14, 2012

Pave Your Way Into CSULB History!

Overview of Graduation Day

What is the Alumni Brick Plaza? charitable way. The original brick plaza proudly displays the legacies of more than 3,500 CSULB graduates. Your $150 tax-deductible donation will not only get your name, major and year of graduation engraved on a premium-quality red brick, but it will also support the CSULB Alumni Association’s programs such as alumni grants, alumni publications and many other services.

The ceremony will begin with a processional of graduates, faculty, and University officials. The Dean of your College will welcome the audience, give instructions, and recognize outstanding graduates. You will cross the stage as your name is read from a card that will be provided to you on the day of your
