ALUMNI NEWS 1990s Thomas Brockway ’90 celebrated the birth of his first grandchild, named Aiden, in August 2007. He has been a substitute teacher since 2001. Jennifer (Harre) Serricchio ’90 married Robert Serricchio on June 10, 2000. They have one son, Anthony, who was born on September 11, 2002. Mary (Grulke) McCabe ’90 has been a Creative Memories Scrapbook Consultant for more than 10 years. She married Scott McCabe on August 19, 1990. Scott and Mary have three children; Michael, Lucas, and Matthew. Renee (Aamold) Zeilbeck ’90 has two children; Kaitlyn Renee born in 1994 and Cassidy Vivian born in 1996. Jennifer (Rood) Bringle ’91 married Rev. Bruce Bringle on July 11, 1998. Bruce and Jennifer adopted Rachel Elizabeth Maria, born October 2, 2001, from Bogota, Columbia on February 12, 2002. They also adopted Jacob Douglas Estevan born January 22, 2005 from Bogota, Colombia on July 7, 2007. Scott Hoelscher ’92 married Anna Forsline on October 8, 2005. Scott served as a full-time AmeriCorps volunteer from 2001-2003 in Portland, Ore. Claudia (Wanger) Zupancic ’92 has three children; Catherine, John and Carl. Erika (Wenger) Gardiner ’94 has been married to Chris Gardiner for nine years. They have three children; RJ, Joe and Tim. Chris is an 8th grade Bible teacher at Northwest Christian School in Phoenix. Bradley Hopkins ’95 and his wife Jill welcomed their new son, Carson Bradley Hopkins, to the family on January 18, 2008. He joins proud sisters Sophia (age 5) and Josephine (age 3). Connie (Hawkinson) Kotke ’95 remarried in October 2004. Her first grandson was born in February 2008. She launched her own communication consulting practice in January. It specializes in helping organizations build strong reputations.
Tanya (Laabs) Johnson ’96 accepted a call to be principal at Hope Lutheran School in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Her husband, Todd, will be chief news photographer at KPVI TV in Pocatello, Idoho and will begin his own video production company, specializing in school promotional materials. Jean Lund ’96 moved to Hastings, Minn. and is teaching early childhood and parent education classes. Jennifer (Riggert) Drees ’96 has been married to Matthew Drees since 1995. They have two children; Carah and Caleb. Heidi (Heintz) Huelster’s (’97) first born, Mimi, recently turned 3. Heidi also gave birth to twins; Zoe and Howard, on September 2, 2007. Corie (Loes) Leefeldt ’97 married on September 10, 2005. Corie gave birth to twin daughters on February 17, 2007. Brenda (Oldenburg) McElory ’97 married Steve McElory on May 14, 2006. James Sturdevant ’97 is a software developer for Advanced Informatics. Elizabeth (Grein) Freeman ’98 has three children; Lauren Leilan, born December 28, 2002, Louis James born July 9, 2004, and Leo RJ born August 5, 2006. Patrick Hjelm ’98 is married to Chella and they have two daughters; Olivia and Avery. Sara (Kvern) Getting ’98 married Jim Getting on August 3, 2003. They have two children; Mitchell James born on September 23, 2004 and Katherine Ann born on November 11, 2007. Terry Langenberg ’98 is married to Monica. They have four children; Larissa, Bridgette, Karis, and Kenny. Terry opened his own marketing company, “The Langenberg Group” eight years ago. John Pearson ’98 is a retired Army Colonel (33 years). He is currently a realtor who recently won the Prudential Chairman’s Circle Award (top 2%). Travis Pittock ’98 married Stephanie (Grahn) ’01 in St. Louis on November 17, 2001. Travis is working on his Ph.D. in psychology and counseling.
Michelle (Schindeldecker) Nadeau ’95 has been married to Greg Nadeau. They have four children; Tyler, Jacob, Noah and Marlena. Jim Weil ’95 owns and operates Weil Psychological Services, P.C. with his wife, Dr. Clare Warren Weil, Psy D.
