Working directly with Cordura®, 5.11’s team developed the first of its kind: A cotton and Cordura® nylon ripstop blend named NYCO Tactical. NYCO Tactical is a no-melt no-drip fabric… an important performance and protective feature for operators in harm’s way. A Teflon® finish repels the inevitable grime and gunk these uniforms will see. In addition to a host of tactical features and functionality, XPRT Uniforms have been designed to be comfortable and allow an operator a full range of motion without restriction. Finally, a feature rich and sophisticated construction elevate XPRT Uniforms to a whole new level of tactical functionality.
NYCO Tactical provides substantially more abrasion resistance than our Taclite ® ripstop — already an extremely durable fabric. The NYCO Tactical used in our XPRT Uniforms is also lighter than Taclite, affording even greater comfort.
