Minority Students, Judges, Lawyers, Supporters of Inclusion and Diversity, I am excited to announce that the Kozyak Minority Mentoring Foundation ("KMMF") has a great new website, www.kmmfoundation.org, and I invite you to checkout the videos, photos and information which will make it easier for minority students to obtain mentors. The 8th Minority Mentoring Picnic will take place on Saturday , November 12th at Amelia Earhart Park from noon until 4 PM. Last year, we had more than 3,000 minority students, judges, lawyers, sponsors and guests attend the picnic and it would be very helpful if you shared this e-mail with other members of your organizations, schools, law firms, etc., and asked people to RSVP. Feel free to invite all minority law students and lawyers and judges, who might be interested in being a mentor.
Driving Directions
The Minority Mentoring Picnic would not be possible without the fantastic support of our sponsors. We have raised the levels for the lowest sponsorship categories because the picnic has become so popular. We have limited space for sponsorship tents and I need to raise more money to offset the costs associated with feeding and entertaining more than three thousand people. The picnic has always been free for participants, but we would appreciate donations - no matter how small - from people who can afford it. We have made it easy for sponsors and donors to use credit cards and PayPal accounts. We encourage our sponsors to sign-up early and to contact Detra Shaw-Wilder or me, if they have any questions. The KMMF is proud to announce two new Directors: Cesar Alvarez, the Executive Chair of Greenberg Traurig, and Marlon Hill, founding partner of delancyhill, P.A. Both are good friends and have a long history of promoting diversity and serving our community and the legal profession.
