Camp MeetAdventure the team. Camp Adventure Site: The Centre of Palm Harbor Time: 8:30AM to 5:30PM Weeks: 1-10 Ages 5-12 (must have been in kindergarten for 2012-13) Come and experience everything our camps have to offer! Your child will experience a wide array of activities... from arts and crafts to dance and fitness, sports and cooking! Join our talented camp staff as we have an adventure together! Make sure to bring a non-perishable lunch each day. Extra fees may be requested in certain weeks due to trips/specials. Each camper will be assigned to an age-appropriate group on the first day and be introduced to their Camp Counselor. A schedule of weekly activities will be given to each parent on the first day. Also, as an added bonus - if your child is signed up for an AM Mini-Camp at The Centre, they can also take part in Camp Adventure for the remaining camp hours (until 5:30PM) for only $50.00! Sports Camps Sports Variety Camp Site: Sunderman Complex Time: 9:00AM to 5:00PM Weeks: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9 Ages 8-13 Instructor: Parks & Recreation Staff

Can’t decide what sport is the favorite? Why not get a taste of all of them! Our Sports Variety camp will touch on the basics of many sports - from kickball and soccer to football and track, we will experience them all! Make sure to pack a non-perishable lunch and suncreen each day. Member: $125 Non-Member: $135 (Weekly) Check out our Spring Break Sports Camp on Page 4!

Sports Camps “Jimmy the Bat” Baseball Camp Site: Sunderman Complex Time: 9:00AM to 5:00PM Weeks: 3, 5, 9 Ages 6-12 Instructor: Coach Jim Felce This camp is designed for kids of all ages to experience everything about America’s pastime! With a fun and positive environment, your child will learn all facets of the game, with an emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship. Basic conditioning will be introduced as well. Make sure you bring a non-perishable lunch and sunscreen to camp each day. Coach Felce is a former member of the Atlanta Braves organization and has many years of experience in high school baseball coaching. Member: $125 Non-Member: $135 (Weekly)

Tennis Camp Site: Putnam Park Tennis Courts Time: 9:00AM to 12:00PM Weeks: 1-10 Ages 6-12 Instructor: Johnny Angel One of our longstanding programs in Palm Harbor, we are proud to maintain one of the best Junior Tennis programs in the country. We emphasise safety, fun, excellence and personal attention for our young tennis players. Our camps are designed to enhance players’ progression. Our professional PTR-USTA High Performance Coach is carefully selected for his outstanding teaching and the great approach to children’s camps. Beginning players will learn forehand, backhand and serve. All children will play and learn through fun games and drills. Intermediate players will build on basic skills while developing proper strokes and techniques. Johnny Angel is a recognized tennis professional and has numerous students across the country in professional tennis careers. Member: $100 Non-Member: $120 (Weekly)

Fishing is something that every child should experience! And, thanks to the generous support of the Katz Family, we are proud to offer this popular program again in 2013. Join our seasoned charter captains, led by Captain Mark Watson, as we experience the fun of fishing right here in Tampa Bay! All kids receive a free fishing pole, too! SPACE IS LIMITED A $50 refundable deposit is required at time of registration. AGES 6-8: MONDAY, JULY 8 (Must be accompanied by parent) AGES 9-11: TUESDAY, JULY 9 AGES 12+: WEDNESDAY, JULY 10 Boats Leave at 8:30AM from Marino’s Marina, 297 Shore Drive, PH Participants must be there at 8:15AM… Wear bathing suit and flip-flops!

Creative Camps Mini Chefs Cooking Camp Site: The Centre of Palm Harbor Time: 9:00AM to 12:00PM Weeks: 3, 5, 7, 8 Ages 7-12 Does your child show interest in learning the basics of the kitchen? Our Cooking Camp will give any child the opportunity to learn the basics of cooking, preparing and baking in our full-service kitchen facility. Campers will create snacks, meals and desserts in this week-long culinary experience. Member: $80 Non-Member: $90 (Weekly) For an additional $50 weekly, you can include our “Camp Adventure” from 12PM to 5:30PM!

Dance Camp Site: The Centre of Palm Harbor (Dance Studio) Time: 9:00AM to 12:00PM Weeks: 3, 5, 9 Ages 5-12 Instructor: Katelyn Heineken

Grab those dance shoes and let’s get moving! Join us as we explore the many aspects of dance - from contemporary and jazz to hip-hop and ballet. We will take a look at the history of dance and also do some creative arts and dance projects along the way. Teambuilding will be stressed throughout the week. This camp is for the beginner or the experienced dancer. Please wear dance-appropriate (comfortable) clothing and sneakers! Outdoor Camps Back to Basics: Nature Site: The Centre of Palm Harbor Time: 9:00AM to 12:00PM Weeks: 5, 7 Ages 8-11 Instructor: Ian Collman, CPRP

Your camper will be learning and perfecting skills once taught for survival, including fire building, archery, whittling and cooking. Each day’s theme will provide your child with fun-filled activities to help educate them on skills lost to modern technology. Ian Collman has spent thirteen years in the Boy Scouts, obtaining the Eagle Scout award. He has also been a mentor to youth and coordinator of several local outdoor and nature camps. Wear comfortable “outdoor” clothes, closed-toe sneakers and bring water each day to camp. Member: $65 Non-Member: $75 (Weekly) For an additional $50 weekly, you can include our “Camp Adventure” from 12PM to 5:30PM!

Kayaking Adventures Camp Site: Pop Stansell Park (Boat Launch) Time: 9:00AM to 12:00PM Weeks: 2 Ages 8-15 Instructor: Osprey Bay Kayaking Let us introduce you to the world of kayaking, a sport that builds confidence, strength, and a sense of adventure. Each kayaker will learn about the birds, fish and sea mammals in their own backyard and get to know the real Florida! Campers will be introduced to single and multi-seat kayaking along with the skills needed for safe operation for day kayaking. They will conclude the camp with a 3-mile challenge trip, encompassing all the skills they have mastered throughout camp. Member/Non-Member: $220

Sports Clinics High School Baseball Clinic Site: Putnam Park Baseball Field Time: 9:00AM to 12:00PM Week: 2 Ages 12-16 Instructor: Coach Jim Felce This camp is designed to assist baseball players who are making the transition to a regulation-size baseball field. Also, the campers will be trained and prepared to make the transition from little league and AAU baseball to the high school level. All facets of the game of baseball will be taught throughout the week, including the history of the sport and the rules of the game. High school level physical conditioning will also be stressed. A full game will be played each day. Please make sure to bring any essential baseball equipment as well as water, a hat and sunscreen each day. Member: $100 Non-Member: $125 (Weekly)

Volleyball Clinic Camp Site: Palm Harbor United Methodist Church Time: 10AM to 1PM (Beginners), 2PM to 5PM (Intermediate) Days: Monday through Wednesday Weeks: 1 (6/11-6/13) & 8 (7/30-8/1) Instructor: Coach Tara Kuk This camp is designed for both the beginner and the experienced volleyball player. We will learn the rules and basics of the game, as well as learning how to work as a team and build skills needed to play in all levels. Coach Tara Kuk is a championship volleyball player and coach, earning an invite from the US Volleyball Team as well as being named “Player of the Year� on the EVP Pro Tour. Coach Kuk is in her tenth season as the volleyball coach with Palm Harbor University High School. Member: $85 Non-Member: $100 (Per Session) *Drop-Off/Pick-Up is off of Belcher Road at the back of the chuch. Follow the signs for the school entrance/gymnasium.

Basketball / Little Techs Camp Basketball Skills Camp

Site: Palm Harbor Middle School (Gymnasium) Time: 9AM to 12PM (Beginners), 1PM to 5PM (Advanced) Days: Monday through Wednesday Weeks: 7 Ages: 6th to 8th Grade Instructor: Coach Macho Liberti Our basketball camp will emphasize on the fundamentals of the game - dribbling, shooting, rebounding and passing. Campers will also learn and work on offensive and defensive positioning and philosophy. Each day will end with scrimmages and mini-tournaments. Please wear appropriate footwear and bring bottled water each day. Coach Macho is the head coach of the boys’ basketball team at Palm Harbor Middle School. Beginners: Member: $80 Non-Member: $90 (Per Week) Advanced: Members: $100 Non-Members: $110 (Per Week)

Little Techs Camp Site: The Centre of Palm Harbor Time: 9:00AM to 12:00PM Weeks: 3, 5, 9 Ages: For Students Entering Kindergarten & First Grade Instructor: Little Techs Teachers

Are your kids ready to have a blast while boosting their academic skills at the same time? Then sign them up for our exciting enrichment summer camp! We will teach your children learning strategies that will follow them for the rest of their lives. All of our Little Techs are provided with their own iPads during our tailored lessons while at camp. Your Little Tech will dance, wiggle and have tons of fun while learning at the same time. Snack and drink will be provided everyday. Member: $120

Land Fishing Camp Site: Pop Stansell Pier Time: 9:00AM to 12:00PM Weeks: 6, 8 Ages 8-17 Instructor: Captain Mark Watson One of our most popular camp offerings, the mini camp will get your child out on the water and exploring the world of fishing with a professional. Kids will learn the basics of how to fish, including baiting the hook, casting the reel and will even learn about the marine environment surrounding our beautiful park land. Campers must bring comfortable shoes (water shoes if you have them) as well as plenty of water and sunscreen. Member: $125 Non-Member: $135 (Weekly)

Boat Fishing Camp Site: Marino’s Marina (286 Shore Drive, Palm Harbor) Time: 8:30AM to 1:30PM Weeks: 7, 9 (Monday-Wednesday) Ages 8-17 Instructor: Captain Mark Watson One of CSA Palm Harbor’s most unique camp offerings and something not found in the Tampa Bay area camps, your child will become a part of the crew of a small group of licensed charter captains as they explore the world of Florida fishing. Campers will learn the basics of fishing and explore the islands and waterways of St. Joseph’s Sound. Campers will need to wear a bathing suit and plenty of sunscreen. Hats, bottled water and a lunch are highly suggested. Do not wear sneakers - they will get wet. Wear water shoes or flip-flops! Member: $200 Non-Member: $210 (Weekly)

Mark Watson joins the CSA Palm Harbor summer camp staff this year after assisting for many years under the direction of Captain Dean Parks. Mark is a USCG-licensed charter boat captain and makes safety a top priority for our boating and fishing camps. He is fully insured and provides an amazing experience with his team of trusted charter captains.

CSA Palm Harbor offers a perfect opportunity for high school students looking for Bright Futures hours and for teens just looking to get involved! If you are between 13 and 17, we can find a place for you to volunteer with our summer programs. All we ask is for a two-week committment to come and help us out. In exchange, you’ll be helping to make a difference in a child’s life right here in our community. Stop by our office at The Centre of Palm Harbor (1500 16th Street) and we’ll get you an application.

The Dean Parks Memorial Youth Scholarship Fund Created in memory of our longtime fishing camp instructor, CSA Palm Harbor is proud to provide the Dean Parks Memorial Youth Scholarship Fund for families that have financial difficulties in providing summer camps for their children while the parent is working. Registration How to Register We make signing up for camp easy! Stop by The Centre of Palm Harbor (see page 1 for hours) and fill out your child’s emergency form and pick-up authorization form and we’ll help you the rest of the way. Registration is simple, easy and painless!

Memberships Memberships are available to anyone, regardless of residency! Becoming a member will decrease your summer camp cost and give you some awesome deals on year-round programs, camps and classes! Memberships are good for one year from purchase. Individual Membership: $35 per year Family Membership: $50 per year (same household) Seasonal Memberships are not valid for summer camp programming. Registration is done at The Centre of Palm Harbor, located at 1500 16th Street. Open hours for enrollment are Monday-Thursday 8AM to 8PM, Friday 8AM to 5PM and Saturday 8AM to 12PM. You’ll need to stop by for some important paperwork first! Please note that only parents or legal guardians are allowed to register children for camps. So please don’t send your neighbor, your best friend or the grandparents. Thank you!

Refunds & Credits If you happen to change your mind or something happens along the way, follow these steps to request a refund or credit for your registration. 1. All refund requests must be submitted in writing to CSA Palm Harbor’s offices at 1500 16th Street. 2. Requests for refunds must be received five (5) days prior to the start of a program. 3. Once a program has begun, no refunds will be issued. 4. No refunds are issued for one-day programs, special events or trips. 5. If approved, refunds will be issued minus a $5.00 administrative fee, or 100% if issued as a credit. 6. Credits are good for one calendar year. 7. Transfers may be requested, but will be charged a $5.00 administrative fee if done within five (5) days of the program beginning. Memberships are not refundable or transferable.
